173. Gavin's Missing.

Meghan was surprised to see that everything was dark, including the walkway to their apartment, and that the door was unlocked.

She wondered if Gavin was pranking her or if someone had actually burgled the house; she was still at the front door when she noticed the shattered parlor glass, and she wondered how the thief had gained access to their home.

She was also thinking about Gavin and decided to call him first before entering the house. The phone rang once, and she could hear his ringtone from inside the house, but she became concerned when there was no response after two calls.

She decided to return to her car and take a club for protection. She used the club to open the front door and gradually walked to the wall where the light switches were. When she asked if the light came on, she was greeted with a grand surprise.
