186. Reflections.

Gavin was concerned about his wife's well-being after learning that she had been driven to God knows where in a black Mercedes Benz.

He thanked the nurse for her advice and assistance in dressing his wounds. She offered him a room in her apartment because she figured he had nowhere else to go at this hour and that staying in his destroyed apartment would be unsafe.

He agreed to her request and stayed in one of the rooms she had assigned him. When he walked in, the room felt very cozy and warm, unlike his room at home.

He started missing his parents and wishing they were still alive to see him. He lay down on the bed and fell asleep peacefully after reflecting on how much better his life would have been if his parents were still alive.

Gavin awoke quickly; it was the first time he would sleep soundly in a long time.
