28. Giving False Hopes!

Gavin found himself intrigued by his wife's words, especially the last sentence she made. He felt his eyes water a bit, but did not think it had anything to do with what she had said, or anything to do with feeling bad.

"What did you mean by that?" He asked. "What do you mean by saying I give false hope?" Please explain to me what that means."

Meghan sighed. "I did not want to bring this up now, but because you asked, I think there is no better time to do so. It's about you telling me to go to the bank to secure investments."

Gavin's ears spiked up at the mention of this. He had totally forgotten about the bank. And now he sincerely wanted to know how the ordeal must have turned out.

"Go on..." he urged. She did not notice how much his interest surged up at the mention of the bank from her.

"Well, I went to the bank alright," she began, "I got the deal, but it was not because of you. It was because I got help from someone I totally had no idea would have helped me in the first place
