40. A Disappointment Of A Husband.

"You are such a foolish child," Mrs. Stallion said to Meghan with a glare of disappointment in her eyes. "Was this what I thought you when growing up? Was it?"

Her voice was now thunderous. Her words echoed back and forth, bouncing upon the four walls of the room.

Meghan gave no reply to her mother which in turn steered the woman's anger even much more than she was angry. So much so that even her eyes and the ways she stared at her mother, elicited even much more anger than was being thrown at her before then.

"You look at me like you are hearing a single thing," Mrs. Stallion started once more, “Or as if you are going to learn from your mistakes but I know you do not hear a thing of what I say. If you leave this room, you will just go on and do whatever comes to your mind. You will just go back to that good-for-nothing husband of yours that cannot even afford your clothes. Is that not a shame? Is it not?"
