84. Uselessness Of A Husband.

Gavin thought he did not hear Meghan's words properly. "What did you say?" He asked once again.

"I said that you are full of bullshit," she repeated. "What do you think this is? A movie where I would fall back into your arms just because you whispered some bullshit magic words, after you defending another woman, the same woman that slapped me?"

Gavin did not want to argue any more on the matter, although he knew fair and well that Scarlet was not they first to lay an offense. And Meghan was actually the first, invalidating everything she had just said. That was not what he came for. So he let her argument slide.

"I am really sorry about that," he apologized.

His apology only served to fuel the idea that she was right and he was wrong, enforcing the idea that he needed to beg. She only became more stubborn after his apology, and he would realize this, far later.
