90. Rejection.

"Hmph," she snared at him, angrily placing her elbow on the table and supporting her jaws with her hands as though it was about to drop down from her head. Gavin's little speech had her both surprised and angered.

The both of them stared at each other for close to two minutes, both waiting for each other to speak first. Gavin moreso really wanted to know just what she would decide on it.

"So, what do you say?" He asked. "I did not come over here to come look at you only. I really need to know your decision on it so we can move along."

She laughed at the top of her voice again. In Gavin's mind, he was beginning to believe that her laughter was more or less a coping mechanism for her to deal with the rejection. She truly did not find anything funny.

"Well let's see here," she said, clasping her hands together, with fingers with red long nails on it. "You want me to help your wife and her family out of jail? The same woman and the same people who assaulted me and wanted to throw me in
