Chapter 228: Old Connections.

Nicole's husband kept pacing back and forth in the hospital lobby, anxiously waiting for news on his wife's condition; he was concerned that she had been in the Emergency ward for more than 8 hours and no doctor or nurse had emerged.

He feared he had lost his wife because of the Stallions, and he vowed to make them pay dearly if anything happened to her.

He paced, prayed, and cried for the last 8 hours; after 4 hours, he called Nicole's sister and brothers to update them on the situation and ask for their support.

Nicole's sister was in France and said she would follow through with him virtually because she was already in her third trimester and not allowed to fly anywhere.

Nicole's brother was in California, so Nicole's husband sent his helicopter to pick him up so that when Nicole awoke, she would be surrounded by friendly and familiar faces she recognized.

He also sought assistance from his brother, a politician, as he was unable to deal with the situation on his own.
