Mia quickly rushed out of the Starbucks that was just to the left of her company. She could not argue that they made the best coffee in that part of the city, and fr a day that already began with lots of paperwork to go over, she knew that she was in for a long time. She quickly returned to the office. She could not afford to stay away for so long. In The Crow, several people rushed around, each trying to cover the latest happenings in the city. They all knew that there were several stories that required their attention, and if they wanted to remain the best, they had to be ahead of the times."Ma'am, i just got a report of a murder in the fifth Street. They say the scene is gory and it requires our type of presence to properly cover the story."Rory, a promising journalist said to Mia as she walked towards her office. He had joined her about two months before, and he was good."What makes it so special? There are lots of murders everyday." She asked him while walking towards the lift.
"Can you get closer look at what's happening? We need names, people, places, events. We need things to pin him to this crime." Pascal said to her and she nodded."Your boss' name is Carson, isn't it? What are the chances that he will use that name on the dark web?" Mia asked."Quite low. But he will definitely go for something similar." Was Pascal's response."Well, the things that I can see here are illegal debits from the city police accounts, adult videos and links, many other obscene things, and... wait!" She gasped. "I have it. there is a leaked conversation from his phone. It's with someone called the Handler. The phone was destroyed afterward." She said to him. "What does the conversation say?" Pascal asked her."It says to ensure he cleans the mess and he will get a reward. That was the last text. What mess?" Mia wondered."When was the message sent to him?" Pascal asked Mia."A little over seven years ago." She responded."That was the same time he became chief. He did somet
"Tom. What are you doing here?" Pascal asked as Tom walked closer. The air suddenly became more tight, and the adrenaline rushing through Pascal's blood seemed to make him even more angry. He frowned as Tom walked closer, and grinned to his face."I am back at the station. You see, I never could stay away. No matter how much you may have wished for that to happen." He told Pascal who just scoffed. Around them, nurses walked about, handling patients. Pascal should be asking about Evan at that point and not entertaining that tramp of a cop."I never even cared about your presence at the station, although I can say that it was easier ever since you left. The air was also Better. Maybe you just have a way of sucking out the joy from the room." Pascal told him, and Tom stopped grinning. "I heard about what happened to you today. I never for once imagined that someone who seemed to be so upright and just could get himself into some sort of trouble. And to think that you had to collect brib
Blue and red. The lights flickered as Pascal stood outside the cadet's house. The cops had taken his statement, and for the first time, he lied. He told them that he had just driven through the area and had noticed the door was unlocked and two Ken running out, but when he went inside, he found the cadet's body.Pascal felt terrible for having to tell a lie. He felt so bad that all he could do was to stand at the side of the house and watch the forensics take out the cadet's body."You did the right thing, Pascal. You behaved like a true cop." Carson, his boss said to him and stood side by side with him. "Thank you, sir." Pascal muttered. His boss exhaled while he kept gazing at the house. "He was a good kid, was he not? He had a promising future. I could see him as one of the best in the future. It's a pity he had to die just like that." He told Pascal who just nodded. Carson gave Pascal a Stern gaze."You didn't happen to talk with him about anything, did you?" He asked Pascal. Pasc
"Boss, give us permission to turn them all to corpses," Marv said to Oliver as his gun remained pointed at Veron. Veron just smiled as Marv said the words. He chuckled lightly, and then exhaled."Marv, you should not do that. I promise you that before you even pull the trigger, you will see your fingers flying in the air. Do you want to risk it?" Veron asked Marv whose face darkened. How did he know his name? Oliver just observed Veron. He was not like his brother. This one was unpredictable, and if Oliver wanted to defeat him, he had to do it carefully."Oliver, your father would have understood what I'm trying to do. You see, this is a good thing. I finally want to put an end to the rivalry between our families. This is a good thing, Perhaps, I'll even advise my niece to marry you. We will become one happy family, and I'll call the shots, of course, but you get the point. So, what do you say?" Veron asked Oliver. Oliver remained silent. "You are using the 'silence is golden' trick."
Elina was looking at Gerald seductively, finding him attractive and waiting for the perfect opportunity to seduce him. They were at his place in the living room. Gerald was wearing a black suit, while she was wearing a red dress that was above the knees and revealed the catchy parts of her body but that was for a reason. Gerald was clueless on what was going on.“So, why are you here at my house looking so sexy?” He questions, takes a sip of his alcoholic drink and eyes her up and down. She didn’t want to say too much, so she gets off her seat and gets closer to him. She circled his drink with her fingers. She caught him looking at her big breasts, but she was not protesting. “You like what you see?” She teases him, pushing her breasts closer to him.“Yes, you do have nice breasts. But I will pretend not to know what you are trying to do with me.” He said.“I have to be honest with you, I always found you attractive, always.” She told him, looking deep in his eyes. “Really? What do
“Before you leave, I needed to talk to Elina.” Viktor Grey said. Both Elina and Gerald walked towards him, but Viktor stopped them. “Not you, Gerald. I do not need to talk to you. I will talk to you another time. I just need to talk to Elina alone in my office.” Viktor told him. “Alright. I will be in the car waiting, let me know when you are done.” Gerald said to Elina. “Alright” Elina said. Gerald leaves his office and heads back to his car to wait. “What is it that you wanted to tell me?” Elina asks. “I want to tell you something that I have not told anyone else. I want you to promise that you will not tell anyone. Do you promise?” He asked. “Yes, I promise that I will not tell anyone. I cross my heart and hope to die.” She promised him. “You know that I have been close to Rebecca recently.” He said.“Yeah, I know that. What is it about Rebecca?” She questioned.“You see, she's my daughter, and I have other children outside from Rebecca.” He reveals to her. “You have other
It was late at night, no one was outside besides Mia or so she thought. She was walking alone at night since she did not live too far away from her home. She does have a car, but she did not want to waste her gas for a five minute drive. So it was better for her to walk back home. However, she felt like someone was following her. She looked behind her to see if anyone was following her and she did not see anyone. She knew how scary and dangerous it was for a woman to walk alone at night. There was a lot of creepy men just lurking to steal from her or hurt her really badly. But thankfully, she was not too far from her home. However, she was not going home just yet. She wanted to meet with Oliver. It was weird for them to meet at a random place at night, but this was the right time for them to meet up. Both of them were busy and did not had a lot of time to see each other. The only times they could meet was when Mia was done with work. They loved going to this park near her house be
