Chapter 114

Blue and red. The lights flickered as Pascal stood outside the cadet's house. The cops had taken his statement, and for the first time, he lied. He told them that he had just driven through the area and had noticed the door was unlocked and two Ken running out, but when he went inside, he found the cadet's body.

Pascal felt terrible for having to tell a lie. He felt so bad that all he could do was to stand at the side of the house and watch the forensics take out the cadet's body.

"You did the right thing, Pascal. You behaved like a true cop." Carson, his boss said to him and stood side by side with him.

"Thank you,sir." Pascal muttered. His boss exhaled while he kept gazing at the house. "He was a good kid, was he not? He had a promising future. I could see him as one of the best in the future. It's a pity he had to die just like that." He told Pascal who just nodded. Carson gave Pascal a Stern gaze.
