Chapter 154

Mia worked late and decided to stop by the restaurant to grab a late dinner for her and Oliver. She got into her car to drive home when the impossible happened.

"Shhhh," A voice came from behind her, along with a click which Mia concluded was a gun. It was the voice of a female.

Lydia. It had to be her. Lydia, frozen in her seat, tried not to do anything rash. Lydia would blow her brains out if she did.

"Don't yell. Raise your hands and place them where I can see them," Lydia said, further pressing the gun to Mia's head. "Don't do anything rash. Pass me your cell phone and the keys. Try to make a sound, and this gun goes off."

"Okay," Mia panted as she handed her phone and keys to Lydia.

"This car smells like fucking chicken. I guess you wouldn't have expected finding me here, would you?" Lydia joked and laughed all by herself.

Mia, with her hand still raised above her head, tried to talk, feeling a bitter bile rise in her throat. "What do you want, Lydia? Have you not done enough!?"
