Chapter 250

Xerox walked down to where Miranda stood on the balcony. She supported herself with a pair of clutches and, although her legs hurt her so much, she did not show it.

"How's the leg?" He asked her while he approached and she smiled.

"I can barely feel a thing," she said to him. Xerox raised his brow and scoffed.

"Really? Do you want me to kick you then? Just to be sure, you know," he told her and she gasped.

"You would kick a lady?" Miranda chuckled, and although Xerox was not in the mood to laugh, he smiled.

"We all know you are not as weak as you pretend to be," he told her and she nodded.

"True, but i also did not undertake the insane training that the rest of you went through. That has got to mean something, doesn't it? I am not as amazing or as super skilled like the rest of the shadows in this place," Miranda said and sighed. "I did not realize just how useless I was until that building exploded. I had to rely on Oliver saving me when as a shadow I was supposed to be saving him,"
