Chapter ninety

Pascal could not shake off the strange words that Evan had spoken to him. Why was the man acting so distant? He sighed and shrugged it off. Pascal Checked his time. It was already far spent. He sighed as he took his phone to call Mia. It was supposed to be their dinner but ever since, things had been falling apart. He wanted to call her but he did not know what to say. So, Pascal just sighed and dropped the phone on the table.

But then, the phone rang. It was Mia.

"Speak of the devil and she shall appear," he said and chuckled.

"Were you thinking about me?" She asked him and he sighed.

"I was. I wanted to invite you to dinner. I'm sorry for the way I left the other day. I was just caught up with work and I could not wait any longer. So, what do you say? I want to treat you." He told her and she smiled on the other side of the phone.
