Ninety eight

Gerald was alone with his thoughts. He paced around the room, with his feet making stomping sounds on the ground. Gerald sighed as he tried to think straight. So many things were happening to him at the same time and he just didn't know how to handle it.

Over the past days, he had been getting anonymous threats to end his life. Gerald knew it wasn't a bluff, and he sort of suspected who the culprit was. But he was not in any position to fight a man that powerful. In the chain of command, Gerald was still too low. So low.

He sighed. Should he ask Viktor Grey for help? That would probably be a mistake, he thought. Viktor Grey was an opportunist. He wanted to get something out of everybody. He didn't care about the consequences of his actions and Gerald knew that it would be a mistake to ask Viktor for help.
