Eight.

The club was silent for a while before everyone burst out laughing at Lyon, they thought he was bluffing because there was no way he could afford that.

Lyon smiled to himself, he could still feel his card in his pocket and he wasn’t scared, instead he was sure that nothing was going to happen.

He’s not going to let himself be humiliated by Michael or anyone anymore.

“What are you saying?” Kelvin asked, nudging Lyon’s arm and pulling him but Lyon didn’t budge, “these wines cost thousands of dollars, even I am not sure how I’ll pay mine.” Kelvin added.

Lyon smiled at him and asked his best friend not to worry about the bill because when he’s paying for himself and he was also going to pay for his friend too.

“I said I can afford to pay my bill and I promise I’ll pay yours too so don’t worry about it, Kelvin.” Lyon said calmly.

Kelvin was more than shocked and everyone in the club couldn’t believe that Lyon was really saying that he can afford the bill.

The Lyon everyone in the club all knew would have ran out of the club in shame or do what Michael said but this Lyon wasn’t scared at all.

“Do you realize what you’re saying? You think you can afford to pay for not just one but two people?” Michael asked mockingly and everyone started laughing at Lyon again.

“Forget paying for two people, if you can’t afford to pay for only you, the owner is going to beat you to pulp.” Michael continued as he threatened Lyon.

“I’ve heard that the manager is also a terrible man and he’s not scared of killing people,” Michael continued threatening Lyon.

“If your card does as little as get declined, he’s going to torture you until you die.” He finished with a mocking laughter.

He was trying to get Lyon to be scared like he usually does but Lyon remained unmoved and instead of getting scared, Lyon sneered as he called the waiter.

“Like I said, Michael, you don’t have to be worried about me.” Lyon said and his demeanor was so calm that he seemed like he wasn’t scared of anything.

Everyone was curious, they wanted to know what Lyon planned to do, what they all didn’t know was the fact that Lyon had a black card with him.

Before now, he had never seen a black card before but now he’s holding it and he knew enough to know that black cards had no limit.

Lyon knew that he could spend as much as he wanted with a black card, he smiled when the waiter came to him and he told the waiter that he would like to pay his part of the bill.

The waiter looked at him for a while before telling him to wait while he split the bill and tell Lyon how much he was going to pay but Michael stopped the waiter.

“Just give him your card and let him remove the full money,” Michael said and the waiter looked at Lyon.

“We’ll all give you your money back later since you just said you can afford the bill then it shouldn’t be a problem, right?” Michael said and everyone shouted as they told Lyon to give his card to the waiter.

Michael was trying to make a trick, he knew the cost of the wines and he knew that if Lyon was unable to pay, he would lose face.

He wanted Lyon to be insulted, humiliated and embarrassed and while they all waited for what Lyon was going to do next, he only smiled.

“You can deduct the money for everything we got, I’ll pay for everyone and they’ll return the money to me.” Lyon smiled as he gave the waiter the card calmly.

He didn't have to be scared because he knew that it had enough money in it so he decided to wait as he found a chair and sat on it.

“Why are you all looking at me? You bought the wine, we should have it.” Lyon smiled as he opened one of the bottles and poured himself a glass.

The club was silent as everyone was shocked but Michael was smiling to himself evilly, he wanted to see where Lyon’s pride will take him.

Kelvin tried to ask Lyon about the owner of the card that he just gave the waiter but Lyon said it was his.

He told Kelvin not to worry about it and they should just take their wine. Kelvin shrugged and poured himself a glass.

While everyone was busy having fun, a middle-aged man showed up and his face seemed to be drawn in a frown.

The waiter was following him nervously and the moment that Michael saw that, he felt satisfied with himself that Lyon was going to be disgraced.

“Whose card is this?!” The man asked as he raised the card up and Michael only laughed because he thought the man came to thrash Lyon.

“What happened? Did the card get declined because the owner is such a poor person?” Michael said and everyone laughed.

They all believed that the man was there because Lyon didn’t have enough money in the card. Lyon was also confused because he was sure that the card had more than enough.

He remained calm in the situation as the man looked around like he was desperately searching for the owner of the card.

“I’m going to ask again, who owns this card?” The man asked again and Michael laughed as everyone pointed in Lyon’s direction.

Michael laughed and sneered at Lyon before pointing to him.

“I told you that the owner was going to beat you up if you can’t afford the bill.” Michael laughed but Lyon was still calm about it.

“The card is his.” Michael finally said as he was still pointing towards Lyon and the man’s eyes widened in what seemed like a shock.

“This card is yours?” The man asked and Lyon nodded as he told the manager that the card was for him just like Michael had said.
