“Lunch is ready!” Chelsey’s voice was loud enough to not only get to Lyon’s room but it also got to Asher and Elen.

“Michael and his gang are beasts, I just can’t imagine what they would have done to you if you had shown up without any regard for your own life.”

“I only managed to survive because my power has been programmed to activate only if I’m in danger, but you, what would I have done if something had actually happened to you?” Lyon asked and Kelvin’s face fell.

“I wouldn’t have been able to forgive myself for not being able to save me,” Lyon continued before smiling, “that’s why I’m glad you didn’t do anything.” He finished.

“But what if you had no powers?” Kelvin asked and Lyon sighed, he never really thought about that.
