“Why didn’t you tell me about Chelsey?” Lyon asked Elen as soon as he walked into the research room where she and Kelvin worked.

“You had my number and I specifically told you to let me know once anything strange was up and this happened but you didn’t tell me?”

His teeth gritted really hard and he clenched his fist to keep his anger at bay so that what happened in the estate wouldn’t repeat itself.

He couldn’t risk it and Elen seemed to be able to figure it out because all she did was apologize.

“We didn’t tell you because we thought you didn’t need the distraction.” She explained but that just flew right above Lyon’s head.

“That’s true, Lyon,” Kelvin chimed in and Lyon couldn’t believe that he didn’t notice his best friend at first.

“Kelvin.”

“We didn’t tell you because we wanted to avoid something like this,” Kelvin continued talking as he walked closer to Lyon.

“You have this huge responsibility and we’d be damned if we added more to it, we didn’t mean to keep it a secret from you
