Galaxy Sec Colonel Jake Smith, youthful and glamorous, was waiting in a large leather chair in an Italian restaurant in a small alcove for two behind a curtain. A motley shirt with an open collar, black hair slicked with gel, a face moderately exhausted by vices and subordination, smiled affably at the entrance of Hoth. He waved his hand in a broad gesture, catching Hoth's hand and shaking it firmly. It was a strange mixture of hacker, rock 'n' roll and thug, with a strong sense of authority. Smith talked throughout the meeting, smiling all the time and waving his arms wide:
