Prince Nicholas stood from his bed. Memories from the previous night started to hit. He made his way to his table and sighed when he saw the book. He sat on the stool and picked the book. It was a hard cover book with brown leather and the title, 'the mating season' boldly written on it. The book had been so dusty on the shelve and the leather was starting to peel off. He was here at the library, here as though he hadn't overheard the things he had heard, about the vast of allies and the signing of agreements and contracts that went on in the last hour. He didn't want to ask her but he was going to do it and this silence was sickening."I noticed in your library that one of the books has ripped pages, it was unsettling" he cleared his throat and widen his eyes to show his concern."Ripped pages?" Prince Nicholas couldn't get the anger inside of him out. His head kept on replaying the conversation between the elders and the commander which he heard. He had heard of the long standing hatred between the vampires and Kayaans but the vampires had no plans to kill the kaayans. He couldn't believe other kingdoms had spies in his kingdom. The vampire kingdom was heavily guarded so how were they able to get spies?He looked at the full proof plan on his table but decided against it and squeezed the paper chucking it to where the other scrambled paper were. Then she remembered the meeting with the elders. Her grin faded instantly realizing she was slowly falling in love with her enemy.The commander felt her heart dip as she realized she was falling in love with her enemy. He had his arms wrapped around her and it broke her heart to know that he was leaving the kingdom for his and she had no idea when next she was going to see him.She felt safe and secure in his arms. She felt like a child with him always vulnerable and giving all her trust to him. She believed he wouldn't hurt her or her people. The time she had spent with him had convinced her he was harmless. She trusted and defended him over her subjects. It was hard to believe the elders. After hearing all they said she didn't know how to feel about his but one feeling she still had for him was affection. She still cared about him and so when he had told her he was leaving for his kingdom was knew she had to come say her goodbye and it hurt her. S
