The Hunters couldn't believe their eyes, as they watched the lone figure battle the monster.

"Just who could that be?" They all thought. All members were accounted for, including the dead, so just who was that? But they never knew the so-called E-rank they brought in was the one fighting against a King tier monster.

Even though they were watching from afar, those attacks were so ferocious they sent shivers down their spine.

However, that man was effectively evading all the attacks and even seemed to have the upper hand, as he was getting closer to the monster and posing more threats to it.

As everyone was wondering who that was, Sir Jack quickly made use of the eye lens piece attached to the helmet and zoomed in on the fight.

"Huh!" He let out a gasp, not believing the face that showed in his lenses. It was that of the E-rank Hunter, he had hired.

Jack felt his brain shut down for the slightest second, as he couldn't believe the smooth and efficient movements coming from an E-rank Hunter, who was supposed to be dead.

Jack felt that there was no way that guy could be an E-rank Hunter; it just wasn't possible.

The guy was facing off against a King tier monster and was doing so easily that he could have been mistaken for a B-rank Hunter like himself.

If it were so, then there was only one thought that came to mind.

"He is a fake registrant."

Jack squinted his eyes as he started putting the pieces together. Earlier, before they entered the gate when he was told to carry their luggage, it was noticed that he carried it with ease, and showed no sign of discomfort, another instance, was that when they were attacked by the horde of monsters back then, the guy didn't even panic like the rest of the Hunters, and just simply stood to one side, it showed he had experience in dealing with a large number of monsters at the same time.

Putting all this together, Jack concluded that, the E-rank Hunter was a fake registrant.

That was the only logical explanation for his unusual strength, that bold aura he gave off, and lastly, his ability to fight with a king-tier monster on equal footing.

Now that all that was cleared, Jack was forced to think of his purpose for coming here, as most fake registrants always had malicious intent.

In the meantime, the Pyrex attack poured down nonstop.

Hal blocked all of those attacks, his hands wielding the daggers like a choirmaster controlling an orchestra.

He moved with so much speed, attacking the Pyrex from everywhere, growing confident of his victory, he moved in for the kill.

He jumped high, aiming for the softest spot on the Pyrex, the eye, but as he jumped in midair, he suddenly had an ominous feeling.

"Huh!" He let out a gasp, as the manifestation of the feeling he got earlier came to bear.

Splash!

From the mouth of the Pyrex, hot red lava spewed out.

Hal twisted his body at a weird angle, bearly managing to dodge the attack.

Fuu!

He took a deep breath, as he started dodging the Pyrex, quickened attacks.

"Damn it!"

The bastard's attacks had gotten faster; it was a king-tier monster for a reason.

After that, Hal got near the Pyrex head several times more, but he wasn't able to hurt it, as its attack pattern had tripled.

If he attacked from the front, it attacked with its hind legs and lava juice. If he took the attack to the back, it had a stinger.

"Ah, shit!"

Feeling frustrated, he decided to attack its belly, but even that place was guarded by that thick exoskeleton.

Hal stopped attacking and distanced himself from the monster.

"This isn't going to work."

"I need an increased speed."

"And I think I have just the thing, but I must make it worth it."

"Sprint."

[Skill 'sprint' has been activated!]

[Your movement speed has increased by 30% for 2 minutes.]

While the message was still going off in his head, Hal exploded forward with speed.

It was now or never.

Hal's body became faster as if a booster had been activated. Evading the Pyrex attack became even easier as a result.

Boom! Boom!

His already light body easily evaded its attacks and quickly appeared before its eyes, causing the pyrex to get into a frenzy, as none of its attacks succeeded.

Hal slid underneath the monster and stabbed his daggers into the tail. It swung its tail to get rid of him, but he held on.

The Pyrex lifted its tail, in the air, and Hal suddenly let loose his hold on it, causing him to drop on its back.

He wasted no time in stabbing an opening in the neck region, causing the monster to shriek in agony.

That was the only weak point of the monster, apart from its eyes of course.

Boom! Gbram!!

The monster lashed around, causing holes to appear in the ground, and dead bodies to melt.

But Hal wasn't bothered by those aimless attacks; he dutifully stabbed away.

Stab! Stab!

Splash! Splash!

He stabbed, blood splashed.

Lava blood flowed continuously from the monster's orifice, causing the life to gradually drain out of it.

The monster, sensing that it was about to die, went into rage mode.

Scrcch!

It let out a loud noise and was about to do something unspoken, but Hal wasn't having any of that.

"Not on my watch!"

Hal didn't stay his hand. No, he increased the speed of his stabbing.

Stab! Stab! Stab!

"Ku, kureeuuk.."

The Pyrex began tottering around; it was getting damaged now.

His time was ticking, 30 seconds left.

He stabbed both daggers into the left orifice on the neck, using them as a brace; he did a literal side flip in the air, causing the Pyrex neck to split halfway.

He landed on the floor, in front of it.

He immediately bounced back up, and, holding both daggers like a scissor, cut off the monster's head in an X fashion.

The head spun high in the air, pausing for a second before coming down with speed.

Splash!

It splashed on the floor causing all the white matter to splash out on the ground, immediately burning it.

'Huh? Does it do that?' he thought, but as he looked at the body, he saw it was already melting into the ground.

'Well, I guess it does.' Hal scratched his head and shrugged.

Tti-ring!

Tti-ring!

The message for the system rewards went off in his head, and as he was about to check it, a katana sword suddenly slashed at his waist.

Swish!

It was so fast he wouldn't have noticed it coming had it not been for his perception.

'Huh!, what the?' Hal thought with widened eyes, and a look of confusion written all over hus face.

He barely got out of the way before the blade could reach his waist, any second later, and......well, he didn't want to think about it.

The attack power didn't end there but created a heavy breeze that pushed him back.

He slid back, raising dust as he parked.

His daggers immediately appeared in his hands, and he got into an offensive posture.....just who was that MF that disturbed him from claiming his lovely bounty?

It was Sir Jack, with an inquiring and killing intent on his face.

"Who are you?"

Quite obviously, a dagger would have a lesser effect on such a carapace than a longsword, which Hal used before. So, if he wanted to cause a deep wound, he needed to strengthen his attack. With that thought, he returned the dual-blade Mystic to his inventory and summoned the daggers he got from his fight against the boss monster of the rank D dungeon. Worst of all, he didn't even get the chance to exact his revenge on those damned monsters. As he lay there, feeling the life slip away from him, like sand in an hourglass, he began to close his eyes. Looking at the screen of his phone, he saw that it was a distress call from the 'MHO', which indicated that a gate had spawned not too far from his location and that a raid was about to go down. "A raid by this time of the day. Didn't they just clear a gate yesterday?" "Why the heck had another one spawned so soon and near his location as well." Hal thought. He looked at the time on his handset and saw that the time was just a little past seven in the morning. Jumping off his bed, he tried his best not to wake his little sister and slipped into the bathroom to take a quick bath.
