The loud wailing and mournful aura of the palace revive Rey back to reality. His world was black, spinning, and revolving. He could feel his head banging hard, aching as if something hard had been used to knock his skull.

As Rey kept coming back alive, his vision started getting clearer, as did the wailing and mourning of people. Their noise keeps getting into his head, disrupting his brain, and causing his headache to increase.

"He's alive!" He heard people gasping, and he looked clueless.

Rey dragged his body to a sitting position, and he could hear people gasping in shock. That made him ignore all the pain he was feeling in his body and rest his back on the wall behind him. Eventually, Rey was able to get a proper glimpse of his environment, and what he saw made his heart sink.

He was sitting on a bed in the middle of the physician's hall. All around him, wailing in pain, are the casualties of war. Some had a leg; some had none; others had an arm; and most had none. Some had bruise

He didn't deny or argue with Rey.Rey yanked him up, wheeled him around, and slammed his body against the opposite wall. His

All of them ruminated on Garry's suggestion in their minds one after the other, wondering if it was something to try or if they should just surrender their arms to Dylan. Considering the chance they had, the two plans were suicide attacks. Surrendering to Dylan will bring nothing but destruction, and following Garry's suggestion, on the other hand, is suicide. Well, it might bring forth good results. And who knows? It might be futile as well."Maybe we should just allow Dylan to return for us at the dawn of the lunar eclipse," Garry suggested, standing from the seat and strolling toward the exit door.Kusandra stood, too. "I guess Garry is right. Since none of you are ready to sacrifice your life, maybe we should just wait for Dylan and his men to come for us in seven days."Sebastian gasped in horror and then stared at his council's faces one after the other; excluding Garry and Kusandra, there were ten of them on the seat—all of them were his trusted advisors, born with noble blood,

“King?!” Hela exclaimed, her mouth wide open in agape. “When did he become a King? Of which territory? Who appointed him?” She couldn't hide her shock.A man stepped forward from the crowds, and Garry recognized him as one of the ten nobles who dedicated their lives to Sebastian. He couldn't believe that people changed so quickly. There's only one explanation for the rise against Sebastian: Rey defeated him in a duel. And, of course, it makes sense. Who needs a weak, incapable, and cowardly king? Someone who couldn't even lead his men to war depends on werewolves and chariot riders to do his job.Nevertheless, Garry doubted he would make a better king either. He was still trying to wrap his head around the offer of becoming the leader of his community, filling his brother's shoes, and tending to the affairs of the people; now, they were offering the title of king.I can't do it; Garry thought, shaking his head. It doesn't make sense. He couldn't control a community; how could he contr

The crashing waves provided a fitting backdrop to the imminent round that was about to unfold—another round of chaos. His grip tightened around the hilt of his gleaming sword as he scanned the horizon, examining the next round of opponents again.Suddenly, the next group of heavily armored adversaries stepped forward, marching toward him and Kusandra with malicious intent.“Stay here, and help watch out for the witch for me.
