Chapter 10

It was almost evening when Jake left the office feeling fulfilled and excited. Everything still feels like a dream to him, and he would rather not wake up from this dream.

He was driving to the new mansion he had acquired by the seaside when his phone rang, it was a call from his father. He picked at the second ring and brought the phone closer to his hearing.

“Father.” Jake acknowledged, and a humming sound came from the phone.

“Hope you didn't forget about our meeting this evening?” Mr. Osborne asked slowly.

Jake's eyes bulged a bit in realization and he sighed deeply.

Truthfully, he had forgotten he was supposed to meet with his Father. Surely, they had some catching up to do, and he also wanted to suggest some ideas, hoping his father would approve.

“Come to Pines Lake Hotel. I'll be there by 7 p.m.” Mr. Osborne spoke and Jake nodded as if he could actually see him.
