The moon fell upon Digar, and just like every other land in Digar, the Syrn empire had been covered in darkness. . .

The light from the moon was sufficient to an extent, but a city that large would need more than that to keep through the night, especially one that was this cold. The rain was pattering on almost everything, and the night was wet. It occurred to the guards to keep the torches burning no matter what in order to keep the watch going as Faral had instructed them.

Faral had been singing about it into their ears. He made sure that every guard had a good rest in the afternoon, and they were all forced to drink a special night tea that was meant to keep them awake —helping them to resist the urge to fall asleep— through the night.
