CHAPTER 70

Philip hurried through the dimly lit hallways of the mansion, his footsteps echoing against the marble floors. The urgency in the staff member’s voice had set his pulse racing, and he couldn’t shake the feeling that something significant was about to unfold.

As they reached the front gate, Philip’s breath formed a mist in the cold night air. The security lights cast eerie shadows on the gravel driveway, illuminating the figure waiting just outside the gate. The man was tall and disheveled, his clothes appearing to have seen better days. He seemed out of place in the polished surroundings of the Aton mansion.

The security guard, who had been standing watch, stepped aside as Philip approached. “Mr. Aton, this man claims to have crucial information about Mr. Lane.”
