The club was illuminated by a red light and customers flooded the place dancing to the hip-hop song that was booming in the air. Some people were dancing alone while some were dancing in pairs. On stage, other gays and lesbians were moving their bodies seductively in bras and panties.
Meanwhile, Lucinda was sitting in a corner, having a bottle of froth on her table. She was thrilled by the way the club was filled with customers dancing and popping up champagne joyfully. With a smile, she gulped the drink while moving her body to the rhythm of the music.
Wrapping his arms around his girlfriend, and kissing her passionately, Reece noticed she was trying to pull away. "What's wrong, baby?" With his lips pressing against hers, he asked.
"I'm pressed," Kelsey said.
"Really," Reece replied.
"Yeah," Kelsey replied, looking around.
"Comm'n baby," Reece tightened his arms around her. "You can manage that, can't you?"
He continued kissing until she jerked away from him. "I'm pressed, Reece. Don't you get it!"
While Kelsey was walking off amidst the crowd, Reece lit a cigarette and continued dancing, still watching her. "Don't get lost, Kelsey!" He let out and puffed out the smoke through his mouth and nostrils.
Kelsey didn't know the way to the washroom and she felt lost in the crowd. She turned back and realized she had gone far since she couldn't find Reece.
"Are you lost?" Someone touched her shoulder.
Upon hearing that voice, she fidgeted, turned at once, and found a lady standing right in front of her in a long black gown, and her face was almost obscure as it was enveloped by full hair. Carried away by the lady's look, Kelsey could hardly speak. She tightened her lips and…
"It's obvious you ain't comfortable," The lady said. "Are you pressed or something?"
"Sure", Kelsey said at once. She'd been pressed even before coming here with Reece. And her bladder was about to explode.
The lady smiled and beckoned her to follow.
Still wondering who the lady was, she walked behind her, feeling the pressure in her bladder while goosebumps began to form on her arms.
From a distance, the lady pointed at the passage that led to the washroom. " There."
With her hands between her thighs, Kelsey nodded impatiently and hurriedly turned the door knob. She walked swiftly through the bright passage, passing the large mirror on the wall, and as she was about to open the washroom door, the passage door creaked and banged itself so that she couldn't hear the music drifting in anymore. Then the passage became so quiet.
With a racing heartbeat, she entered the restroom. When she was done, she turned on the faucet and washed her hands.
Just in a few seconds, she heard whimpers behind her, and turned back at once, listening attentively. Listening for a few seconds but hearing nothing, she turned to the faucet, continued to wash her hands, and looked in the mirror.
What the!
Her brow raised and her heart was about to jump out of her mouth when she saw someone standing behind her. She looked exactly like that lady who had directed her a few minutes ago. What! "H…How did you get your fucking ass here?"
Initially, Kelsey was full of vigor until she saw profuse blood sliding down the lady's eyes. Astounded by that, she turned to be sure but didn't see anyone behind her. Then, she looked in the mirror and found the lady there again.
What the hell is going on?
But when she turned again, there was a gloomy gigantic shadow on the wall with stretched fingers. She gasped, taking a few steps backward as the fingers started gliding toward her. It was too weird and horrifying, having only its fingers hovering over her and its gloomy body remaining in one place.
Kelsey was so shocked, she could hardly breathe. Her heart was smacking violently against her chest and was about to erupt from her mouth. Her bewildered eyes watched in terror as the fingers crept toward her, then her pupils rolled to the door.
Before she could attain the doorknob, the gloomy fingers had already gotten to her trembling feet and spread themselves like a black, sticky liquid substance around her.
Petrified, she stumbled a few steps on the damp floor until she hit her body against the faucet, which meant there was no possibility of escape. This feeling drove cold into her body.
"Who the hell are you!" Kelsey yelled. "What the hell do you wanna do to me?"
…
"I'm Reece, ma'am."
"Hey, Reece," Lucinda said to the tall, slender guy with long hair, though she couldn't see his face clearly because of the flickering illumination. "Need something?"
He looked around briefly and said, "Yeah. My girlfriend. She's gone to the restroom and it's taking too long."
Meanwhile, a bloody hand had erupted from the mirror, squeezing her neck so hard that her eyeballs were popping out of their sockets while she was suffocating. The tears that had already welled up slid down her eyes while veins stripped all over her face as she struggled to breathe.
"It's nothing," Lucinda said. "Maybe she's washing up, you know."
"Washing up." He echoed Lucinda, dialing Kelsey's number.
"Just relax," She said. "She'll be back."
Kelsey's phone chimed in her pocket.
"Leave me alone!" Her voice quavered as she felt herself running out of strength. "Please…" She whimpered.
Feeling weak, her right hand dropped. Then, with her last strength, she sluggishly pulled the phone from her pocket. But before she could take the call, the phone suddenly fell off her trembling hands, shattering against the damp tile.
"Why the f*ck is she not taking my calls?" Reece grumbled. "Where's the f*cking restroom, ma'am?"
***
Kelsey bit the strong bloody hand, and at once, the hands withdrew but didn't go back into the mirror. Now that she had the chance, she managed to grasp the doorknob and took a deep breath. She pulled the knob and the door creaked open.
She was about to leap out of the restroom when that sticky substance molded into a damp hand and yanked her so hard that she fell, banging her lips against the damp floor, sharp pain crept through her nerves and lingered in her chest, aching, inflicting tears in her eyes.
Despite the pain, she pulled her leg until the sticky hand let go of her, peeling off the skin around her ankle. She groaned in pain and pushed forward. Sobbing while bleeding profusely on her lips, she leaped to her feet and walked as swiftly as possible, still feeling the strength of the bloody hand that had strangled her neck a few minutes ago.
Upon hearing a sound from behind, she turned and saw that lady in black again, standing a few distances away, gritting her teeth. She hastened her footsteps…and the lady started coming swiftly. In tears, she struggled to walk fast while sharp pain was soaring in her stomach and her peeled ankle.
She looked forward to the door and turned back. The lady was already…close and was stretching her hands. Alarmed by this, she tried harder, pushing forward, and grasped the passage doorknob. Petrified, with a racing heartbeat she trembled and was tempted to look back again.
Overwhelmed by pressure her hands trembled as she turned the knob from left to right continually but the door didn't open. She was startled when she lowered her gaze and saw the long black gown twirling behind her. Then Kelsey began to bang on the door, screaming, while the light began to flicker.
★★
"Kelsey?" Reece called out as he got to the passage door and wanted to turn the knob.
"No! Reece! Reece!" Kelsey cried from a few distances. "Don't…don't open it…
He turned at once and saw Kelsey who was looking so restless. " Kelsey?" He was surprised.
"Let's get the hell out of here!" She screamed. "This club is fucking haunted!"
Before he could speak, Kelsey was already running amid the crowd who felt she was crazy, but he had no other option than to follow her even though he was confused.
**
She'd already gotten into the car before Reece got in and glared at her. "What the hell is wrong with you?!"
"Move the car, Reece!" She panicked. "Please do…I was attacked. She almost killed me."
"She…who?" He raised an eyebrow. But he noticed she was bleeding on her lips. Wiping the blood off her lips, he said, "What the fuck happened to you?"
Kelsey narrated what had happened to her and he couldn't help the shock. "Who's she?"
She turned back and saw the lady in black again, standing at the entrance of the club, glaring at them. What! "She's right there!" Kelsey pointed out. "Move the car, Reece, move!"
Reece wasn't seeing anyone. He was so confused. He slid the key in, started the car engine, and sped up into the dark. He couldn't stop to wonder about what Kelsey had told him and glanced at her occasionally.
A few minutes later, he looked in the mirror inside the car and saw a gloomy figure sitting in the back seat.
**
Staring back to be sure of what he had seen while driving, he saw nothing but was still looking. "Watch out!" He heard Kelsey say and he turned immediately. The car's pace was too high and he could barely brake when he saw someone in front of the car. It happened too fast and he'd already knocked down the person when the car halted suddenly. He exhaled and got out of the car only to find out that he'd just hit Kelsey who had been in the car with him. What! He looked at the car and noticed that she wasn't in there. Wait. Now, this was the weirdest thing that had ever happened to him. He raised an eyebrow and squatted. But…how the fuck did she get out of the car, that he even knocked her down? "Kelsey?" Was she dead? She was bleeding in several parts of her body. "Kelsey? Kelsey!" He shook her hard but she didn't respond. "Oh no!" Damn! He was so confused, he couldn't think. What the f*ck! He wanted to lift her into his arms when a car drove past and with its headlights flashing a
"Mom," Lunasha said when she opened the door. "You were talking with a ghost." Standing out the door in the dark, with two big heavy bags, Lucinda tossed an odd gaze at her daughter. "Let me in first." Lunasha shrugged and carried one of the bags while her mom shut the door. "Jeez! It's super heavy. What's in here, Mom?" She said and waddled toward the sofa on which she plopped the bulky bag in a thud and heaved a sigh of relief. Lucinda plumped into a chair in the sitting room, feeling exhausted. Sitting, she was feeling the weight of herself all over her. She blew out and wanted to ask after her youngest daughter when she heard Elise's tender chuckle while climbing down the stairs excitedly upon seeing her. "Mommy!" Elise clasped her delicate body against Lucinda's. "I missed you, Mom." Snuggling her kid warmly, she said, " Mom missed you more, sweetheart. How have you been, honey? How was school?" "Cool, Mom," Elise replied. "Done with your homework?" "Yes, Mom…" Elise sai
"Why did you do that to me, Clayton? What did I do wrong?" These whispers echoed in his room while he was asleep. Clay…Clayton! Upon hearing these whispers Clayton's eyes flung open with a glint of shock in them. Initially, he thought there was someone with him in his room, but when his consciousness was restored he realized there was no one. The room was ample and elegant, and the scent of his black Orchid cologne was lingering in the air. His large and well-designed ebony wooden wardrobe was shut and mounted almost close to the window whose light curtain twirled continually as the calm wind was blowing. Beside his bed was a little crystal table on which a bed lamp, a voluminous book, and his wristwatch lay, ticking quietly. Sitting on the bed, still sleepy, the whispers lingered louder in his ears, but once his eyes flung open the whispers seized. Alarmed, he exhaled, and as he could hardly see, he quickly turned on the bed lamp, and then the room got illuminated. He quickly pi
Although he was nervous, in no time he hurried upstairs and started packing a few clothes and a few pairs of shoes into a portable suitcase, and twelve glistening steel guns in another suitcase, then he waddled to the kitchen downstairs. He opened a cupboard where he kept glinting sharp knives, took five of them, took two sharp scissors from a small crotch on the cupboard, and got out of the kitchen, leaving the cupboard open. Sure that all electronics were off and everything was okay, he took a brief gaze around, got out, and locked the door. Having mixed feelings and holding two briefcases in both hands, he observed the environment before leaving for his car. Once he had gotten in his car and shut the door, he kept the suitcases on the passenger's seat and started booking one of the hotels in Newington, and luckily he found a room. Exhaling, he put his phone in his suit's inner pocket, started the car engine, and drove off. From a few distances aw
It took 1 hour and 5 minutes to arrive at Alicante Airport, and this was even worse. Clayton was like a fish out of water. Looking around, he felt like disappearing from here to Newington. Sadly, there was no going back now. He was already in Spain…for safety, he thought, trying to reassure himself. With his luggage beside him, he stood, glancing at people moving to and fro. He observed how the majority of people spoke Spanish. He exhaled. ** About an hour… Passengers' luggage had already been kept. The passengers got on the aircraft one after another, heading to diverse seats. Clayton was about to get on the aircraft when he turned and felt like his heart just leaped to his forehead, slamming violently. He stiffened, feeling numb as chills swept inside of him. Tension began to soar inside him. W…was that her for real? Was that her?! He panicked almost in tears. He couldn't believe his eyes. The shock was overwhelming, he could hardly breathe… "Oye, ¿tú qué miras?" An aged la
Thunder rumbling, lightning was stripping across the gloomy and cloudy sky in a zig-zag form as it began to shower. Leaves were rustling as the whistling wind was blasting. Another boom of thunderbolt shook Lunasha's room such that her eyes shot open, beholding the terror of the dark. Cold swept up her body as she listened to the whistles of the wind while the transparent light curtain at the window wobbled, scarcely allowing the brightness of lightning to flicker across her room. Initially, she didn't know where her gaze was fixed as it was dark. But when the lightning blazed across the room again she was sure she saw a figure standing by the room door. And…wait, the door was widely open. What! A ripple of fear crept into her trembling body as her heartbeat accelerated to a brutal whack against her chest. Her body stiffened and she swallowed hard. Slipping her hand under her pillow where she had kept a torch, she couldn't find it. Petrified, she slid her trembling hands in circle
Although Lunasha was curled up in the strange lady's warm arms…if she wasn't mistaken, she couldn't help her uncertainty. She was still hurt. Her head was aching drastically due to how hard the lady had wrapped her hair earlier. She was still feeling stinging pain in her left upper arm. She didn't dare to hug the lady back. She was trembling in the lady's arms. Stroking the kid's back, she looked down at her, kissed her forehead, and said, "You're trembling, honey. Are you catching a cold?" Lunasha could swear, the lady sounded like momma. "I…saw a stranger in the house. I saw her shadow." For a while, the lady was quiet, then she said, "A shadow? That was me…coming." "She hurt me," Lunasha sobbed. "She dragged my hair, licked my face, and hurt my arm." "Oh, let me see, darling." Lunasha stretched her trembling arms and the lady held her wrist gently, flashing the torchlight on it. She was apprehensive and curious, she couldn't take her eyes off the lady. Although the lady saw
The girls trembled, gasped, and screamed in terror, astonished by what they saw. Simone was lying lifeless on the toilet floor with blood streaming out of her nostrils and mouth. Her eyes were gone and her left cheek was deeply injured and bleeding profusely. Sobbing, the girls covered their lips with their palms, feeling dumbfounded. Lexie squatted so that she took a good look at her. " Oh, Simone. W…what happened?!. Oh, my f*ckin' god!" "Lexie," Leanna's voice was quivering. "We need to get help. We need to call someone…" "This is unbelievable, Leanna. We are the only people here. What are we gonna say? That she was murdered when she entered the loo? Who would believe that bullsh*t, Leanna, who?" Lexie wiped her tears with her fingers. "Oh god! Oh god! What should we f*ckin' do?" Leanna was trembling terribly. "We need to get the f*ck outta here before someone finds us…" "What?!" Leanna exclaimed. Lexie was already standing. "We can't leave Simone here…" "Leanna," Lexie gr
His gaze still fixed on her, he blew out, looked around the room then looked down at her again. "Come here, Lunasha." He tapped the bed. "Come sit here beside me." He said stretching forth his right hand to take hers.Hesitantly, she placed her trembling hand in his, then he pulled her gently. "Comm'n, love." He said to her, "Sit beside daddy."Sitting, facing down, she was trembling and never looked up at him."Look at me, darling." Gently lifting her chin with his hand he said softly. When she looked at him he was struck by how pale and black-eyed she was. She looked like death warmed up. "Darling…" He gasped. "Oh my God! What's wrong? What's going on with you? You've been crying."Her response was to sob. She was way too overwhelmed, she couldn't stifle the cry."Oh, no no no, darling baby," He pulled her closer and cuddled her. "Don't cry… don't cry, it's okay." He paused for a while, stroking her back. He exhaled and said, "I'm sorry for yelling at you earlier, okay? I didn't mea
Arriving home, and parking the car in the garage, Ryan wanted to walk Lunasha to her room alone. "Wait for me, Lunasha." His voice was thick with fury and Lunasha panicked, wondering why he was this mad. It was obvious.Mom and Elise walked off. With both her school bags, she got out of the car and watched how Dad violently banged the door and locked it. Standing akimbo, he blew out heavily, looked down at her with those blazing eyes, and said, "Comm'n honey, let's go."He gently got her bags and held her hand. "Is the bandage heavy on you?"She nodded slightly. ***Arriving at the stairs, he lifted her in his arms and walked up the stairs to her room. Once she got there a feverish sensation rippled in her, causing her heart to clasp brutally against her chest. He got in and made her sit on her bed. "Don't panic, sweetheart, everything will be fine, okay?" Sitting, cuddling while stroking her back he said. He pressed a kiss on the bandage. " I love you, Lunasha. I didn't realize how
Stepping backward restlessly, Lunasha's eyes were shut."Lunasha? What's going on?" Miss Danielle asked with both astonishment and curiosity gleaming in her green eyes. That lady in black was already close, gritting her black pointed teeth, with blood flowing down her flaming eye sockets. She swiftly raised her claws to strike Lunasha who let out a spine-chilling scream that shook the classroom. At this instant, Miss Danielle had sprung from her chair, pushed her table forward, and in a fit of panic ran to Lunasha while other students were marveling over the sudden strange scenario."Hey! Hey, Lunasha?!" However, before Danielle could reach out, Lunasha had fallen heavily with a loud thud, banging her forehead hard against the floor. "Oh, my God! Oh, my…Lunasha! Oh!" Danielle exclaimed in anguish. All of Lunasha's classmates immediately left their seats and clustered around the pale-looking Lunasha who was bleeding profusely on her forehead, nose, and mouth."Lunasha?! You okay, Lunas
The terrifying shadow was swiftly gliding after Lunasha as she was scurrying to her room. Breathlessly, she dashed into her room, shut the door, and ran to her bed. Sobbing, she pulled up her huge blanket to her mouth like a shield. Her eyes were gleaming with fright and curiosity as she was gazing expectantly at the door. She'd forgotten to turn off the lights in the hallway…not that she even had an atom of time to spare when that monster was coming after her poor self. There was a horrendous storm outside as thunder was striking randomly and the near gale was blasting wildly. In a split second, she noticed a black shade under the door like someone was standing outside, and this drove fever down her spine as she trembled. Despite the storm, she felt like someone was banging on the door. It sounded loud enough."Mo…mom?" She said beneath a quivering breath. Before she realized it, that shadow was right in her room, on the wall by the door but looked smaller. It appeared to be someone

Groaning in pain, Chase got on his feet, and his hands involuntarily flew to his bleeding and aching chest. Taking a deep breath, his body trembled as sharp excruciating pain rippled in his chest. The fear that what had happened to Chloe might happen to him ignited a fever in him.Staggering away, aiming for the exit, blood was dropping randomly on the floor. At this point, the monster's eyes flung open.Chase plumped into his vehicle and shut the door faintly. Inserting the car key, his hand was twitching such that the key fell off.The monster had got out of Mr. Halls' office and was licking the blood on the floor, grunting ferociously all along, following the blood imprints till it arrived at the exit. Mouth wide, it let out a ferocious howl that drove chills down Chase's spine and he quickly turned the key but the engine didn't respond.'Oh no! No no no! Not now!'With a fit of panic and alarm, Chase was turning the key left to right, and furiously banging on the steering, "Com'n!
"Hey, ma'am!" The men chorused in the dark."Are you alright??!" Mr. Halls asked and the light suddenly turned on again, revealing their bewildered gazes, especially Chloe's.She was so alarmed. "D…did you touch me?" She asked Chase who frowned at her."Why would I?" He asked with a puzzled look. "What do you mean?""I felt something strange…" Chloe said quiveringly, examining her chest and cheek with her fingers. "Someone touched me. I…I felt the hand…it was ice cold."Having heard this, Mr. Halls recollected what he'd seen earlier—that black hand with long angled nails creeping into his office before vanishing in split seconds.'Was that the lady?' He wondered within him.At this point, Chloe had flushed red as she kept touching where it hurt. "My whole body hurts!" She shrieked severally. "My face hurts. Something isn't right…""There's another record you must listen to." Mr. Halls told her. "It's similar to what Lexie told you though." He used Chase's phone to replay last night's
Neither Chase nor Mr. Halls could take their thoughts off the mystery behind Lexie's unpredictable death. They'd both listened to Lexie's record, the one Chase recorded last night before she passed away…and now someone else has confirmed that there's a supernatural entity behind this. The Lady. It's time for the truth about Lexie to unfold. Mr. Halls thought. This was the most difficult case he'd ever handled in his entire life."Could I at least speak with Lexie?" Chloe asked and both men exchanged glances.Oh God! How would they go about this?Rubbing his forehead with his right hand, Mr Halls sighed. "Oh, yeah. But we gotta finish talking and conclude."The way her blue eyes were blazing showed she wasn't comfortable with the idea but she sat still."Do you have evidence to prove that Lexie called you?" Mr. Halls asked. "And to prove you're her relation? 'Cause we can't trust anyone as it stands now."Damn! She rolled her eyes. "Evidence? What kinda evidence?""Like a record or som
With curiosity and terror glinting in Mr. Halls' eyes, he was gazing expectantly at the door when another sergeant, Lucia, walked in."Sir!" She saluted firmly. "There's this lady, Chloe Jones, who wishes to speak with you.""A lady?" He echoed the blonde sergeant. "What did she say?""She said Lexie's her niece," Lucia said. "And she wanna speak with you. She's in a fit of panic, sir."A fit of panic. Mr. Halls sighed, feeling distressed and exhausted. The whole thing was complicated. Lexie had never mentioned she had an aunt. He thought and heaved a sigh again. " Let her in, then…" This was unusual.***In no time, a tall brown-haired lady in a short sleeveless free gown walked into his office. Not like he cared but she was stunning like her niece, Lexie. No doubt about them being related 'cause they look alike. But her countenance was grave."Do have a seat." Mr. Halls gesticulated to the chair across from him, smiling with just a side of his lips slightly pulled, wondering what sh
