9. Tentadrone

    Roderick nodded his head and dropped the coins into the deep pocket of his trouser.

“Don’t tease me because of your build dummy, I’m a bit muscular myself.”

      The man growled at Roderick word and instantly attacked him with a blow on the cheek.

    The crowd instantly let out a cheer after seeing the plump red button that appeared on Roderick’s cheek.

“Damn you man.” Roderick let out a shout and countered the attack with a heavy blow on the man’s cheek. A heavy fight instantly burst out in the room, drawing the attention of the others who were chanting names.

    Amidst the fight, two more arms immediately sprouted out of the man armpit rendering more multiple blow to Roderick who was left with red round bruises

“I thought use our ability is restricted in this tavern.” Roderick managed to breath out after receiving serious beating from the man quadruple arms.

“Now lend me some money.” The man echoed, out stretching his hand toward Roderick who continuously let out loud clumsy breathe.

“You asked for it alright.” Roderick stretched his hands upward into the air sending a vast powerful energy to the man who instantly somersaulted into the air, unable to move a single limb in his body.

Instantly, the man’s body flew through the wooden wall of the tavern leaving him to fall on the thick dusty ground of the road.

       A loud cheer instantly sprang up in the room followed by the loud scream of a tall husky man who barged into the room

“Everybody get out of here.”

Ahh-hh

    The whole crowd gave out a sigh and slowly stepped out of the building leaving Roderick and the other two people with the man.

“You too, Roderick.”

“Ehh, but I told you I was going to spend a night here.”

    The man turned red for some time and finally drew out a polished bronze key from his pocket

“Are they with you.” The man pointed towards Stella and Daniel who froze instantly. Roderick turned toward them and smiled, he recognized Stella vividly as he found her trustworthy especially after keeping his coin

“Yes, I think that will be two rooms, one for me and the boy, the other the girl.”

    The man drew out another key from his pocket and handed it over to him

“That will be five silver coin for a room.”

“Eh, but it was two silver coin for a room, ” Roderick managed to mutter keeping a mute face, he instantly drew out three silver coin from his pocket and showed it to him “I even have only three silver coin.”

“You aren’t serious Roderick, things get expensive not cheaper,” The man eyed Roderick for seconds and finally let out a loud sigh

“I’m only letting you in because of these two people and your bruises.”

“Thank you.” Daniel and Stella sparked out in unison even before Roderick could reply. Roderick smiled as a response and handed one of the key labelled ‘022’ to Stella who happily grabbed it.

“Thank you so much.” Stella bowed in appreciation to the reward and instantly ran up the wooden stairs of the tavern into a long corridor which led a variety of different room.

     Roderick and Daniel barged into the rustic room of the tavern, meeting a wide bed of two which was beautifully covered with red stripes mattress, and some other few furniture. At the back corner of the bed was a wooden door which led to the restroom.

“Thank you again for your help.” Daniel finally broke the silence in the room causing Roderick to turn towards him.

“Well,” Roderick moved toward the bed and sat on it, he instantly dug his hand into his pocket, bringing out the gold coins he had won from the previous gamble “I think of it as a reward for the girl. Anyways what’s her name.”

“Stella.” Daniel answered while walking slowly toward the opposite side of the bed “I currently met her though.”

“Wait, what.” Roderick jaw instantly dropped to the ground, he found Daniel’s speech both exiting and puzzling. A whole swarm of thought simultaneously jam-packed into his mind as his brain continually repeated those word

“I was thinking both of you are sibling, I actually didn’t suspect you two being romantic lovers or something like that.”

      Daniel got into a round of laughter immediately after hearing Roderick’s word.

      Finally after a long period of discussing, both Daniel and Roderick felt exhausted and fell to the bed still laughing to the jokes they made

[Stella]

[How is everything going]

      The always familiar voice of Stella echoed in Daniel’s head while he was trying to get some sleep.

[Fine, Roderick is actually nice, but now I need to sleep, bye.]

    Daniel closed his eyes and the whole scene instantly turned blank followed by a strange silence which he had never experienced from his birth. Or maybe he had finally fallen asleep.

Just then a pink glow exploded in blank scene followed by a green furry ball which had two bulgy eyes and four short legs.

     Daniel opened his eyes and instantly jumped off the bed, he turned his gaze toward Roderick who still laid asleep on the bed. He turned to the restroom and ran into it after realizing the drops of sweat which covered his body.

What was that!

   Daniel leaned on the wall of the restroom still trying to catch his breathe which went all bizarre.

[I’m sorry]

What was that

[Me.]

    A grunt instantly escaped Daniel lips upon hearing the words of Claudius.

But I saw a ball, not a figure!

[Hum, I think that was a mocking answer.]

But, but why were you that way

[Host, the Tentadrones are not humanoid, what you saw there was me and I’m sorry for the incident, try get some sleep.]

Claudius, did you just say Tentadrone with a S, does this mean you and Kerala aren’t the only one?

    Daniel who got lost in the conversation with Claudius began to mutter everything he said.

[I don’t know, because I’m not a god.]

Ehn, but wait, when we first met, you introduced yourself as a god who will make me a god

[You’re such a bad liar host, I said your guide to extreme power.]

Anyways, you said there was more tentadrone

[Yeah, I think, but I really don’t recall.]

      Daniel heaved out a loud sigh and stood straight from the wall, he moved toward the door and slowly opened it tiptoeing back to his bed after seeing Roderick curled up in the bed snoring lightly.

    Daniel jumped on the bed trying to absorb all the event and finally drifted away after some few minutes.
