In course of them sleeping, Gross who seemed to be so strong to keep watch could no longer stay awake for so long due to the quietness of the place because his friends were sleeping and he was bored, so he also feel dizzy and did not know when he was carried away by the enemy and friend called sleep.

After a very long time of sleeping, Gabriel opened his eyes and he was shocked to see that there was no one keeping watch. Then he looked around and also noticed that they were not the place where they had fallen asleep. When they had finally gotten to the place where Newton Ken was leading them, they had ill feelings about the place but since they had followed him thus far, there was no need arguing over entering a spirit building because if he had wanted to kill them since then he would have done that before then. When they had entered the building and were seated, Riggs and Gross who were eager to know what Newton had to tell them about the death of his father and brothers said, "Now that we are here, can you please go ahead with the story you want to tell us.""Are you ready to hear the truth? Are you sure you can handle the truth?""Yes my lord, we are ready.""Father, please tell us. We want to know." "Okay, first of all, my father, King Rodgers Chung, was poisoned to death. Yes he was sick but he was recovering but some people did not want him to get up from his sick bed that was why they killed him.""Who are these people? Tell us their names." Gross asked."The one called the serpent."And a

"I have no need to hide anything from you. After the attempt to kill me, I lost my memory for a few months. It took six months for me to fully remember who I was and where I was from." He said to them, "Some hunters from Gytle were the ones that found and brought me from the battlefield into their town. And I start with them till I remember everything about myself but I did not tell anyone about even when I remember who I was.""Why?!" Gabriel asked him. "Why didn't you tell them who you were, instead you chose to still live in lies despite what they had done for you?""I would have told them, but I had my reason for not telling them.""I know. You always have your reason, that is why I am asking to know what your reasoning is?" Gabriel sounded that way because his father told him about having a reason why he did not want him to go to Tadeas and he later figured out what that reason was, but for what he was just saying now, he had not known the reason behind it and it will be impossib

So Gross how to explain their mission better began, "Gabriel was asked to embark on a journey to return the lost specter before they would bow to him as their King. So we decided to accompany him on this journey.""And how has that got you into the underworld? Who told you that this is a path to finding the specter you seek? Was it also those evil generals?""Actually, we have been on this journey for so long. We have even lost count of how long it has been since we left Tadeas.""You still haven't answered my question. I am asking why you are here in the underworld. Did anyone tell you that you will find the specter of authority here?"Gabriel had to reply to his father this time with a question. "If I am understanding you very well, you are saying that we can not find the lost specter here?""That is still not the answer to my question.""Yes, I know but please father, if you say the specter is not here in the underworld, I am pleading that you tell us where to find it so that we wi

Now they were shaking with fear. His words had already proved to them that he was not on their side. Therefore he had been fooling them all this while and they have been caught in his web with no way out.Gabriel was now trying to bring about a sense of reasoning to him but he was not a man to think like men. "Father, please do not do this. It's your son. At least for my sake, spare their lives. It is me that you spirits want. So many have died because of me, please like not another soul be taken because of me. Take me but spare my friends. Show them the way back home.""You are wasting your time. Answer my questions because you are running out of time."The way he spoke without feeling all that Gabriel had been saying was enough to tell them they were wasting time thinking he would listen to their pleas.Enoch, who was most afraid could not keep silent anymore, he had to start answering the question, "We are here to face the god of the underworld. We read a map and it tells us that t

They were still making delays to bring out the other halfs of the map and Newton was losing patience. "Fine, since you have hardened your heart, I will also harden my heart never to listen to your pleadings again.""Okay, okay, okay," Enoch said. "You have won, we have the other halfs." He looked at the other three who had the map in their possession. The look on his face told them to bring it out, and they literally did not have anything else to say. Enoch's eyes had just exposed to Newton that they were the ones with the map and if they did not bring it out instantly, then they were doomed, for Newton would strike them immediately without wasting anymore time just as he had threatened."Now you are behaving like good men. You finally made the right decision." Newton said to them as they were bringing out the maps one after the other and handed them over to him.At the instance he received all four parts of the map, he did not wait for anyone to tell him what to do or how the maps we

For over an hour the four of them were confused about where they were. They walked around the area, each one taking a different direction just to take a little survey of the environment and then they came back to the spot where they had found themselves."Any clue?" Gabriel asked, not referring to anyone in particular.Enoch waited for Riggs and Gross to speak for themselves first, before he would say anything. And after they had shook their heads telling that they had got nothing, he then said. "Maybe the map will tell us?""What map? Is it the one that Newton took from us or is there another map which you found?" Gabriel asked as he did not understand what he was talking about. Both Riggs and Gross were also looking at him in surprise. They did not say anything because Gabriel had already spoken their mind, so all they were waiting for was for Enoch to either answer the question or show them the map.Enoch did not want to stress himself in talking because he was not too good at talk

Instantly the spirit of Newton was made visible, it seemed to be bound to obey his command, so he asked as he was visible to them. "What do you want from me? Why would you not let me leave?""Not until you have told me what I want to know. Tell us, where you have brought us, only then will you be allowed to go wherever you want to go.""I thought you have the map, I have done my part by making the map to become one again, and by bringing you thus far. What else do you want me to do for you?""You did not answer my questions." Gabriel pointed out. "I ask again, where have you brought us to?""I have given you the only answer which I know I could give to you. What you are asking for is something you will not get from me. Discover it yourselves.""I command you to tell us where we are!" Since his command to the spirit of his father had worked early, he saw it as a very good way to get the information he wanted. But then Newton smiled at him, "Do you think I will heed to your command this

Back again in the country of Tadeas, Dylan Ryan was very wise not to attack Mayca or Gilroy because he knew what would happen if he did that. Sebastian on a normal basis had wanted to give in because Byron had refused them working together. But due to the earnest determination of Byron not wanting to submit to Dylan even as his king, he too decided not to submit. He said to himself that if Byron could still be so determined not to yield, then there was something he knew and did not want him to know about it too. So his plans were ro find out what Byron knew, but he did not know how to get

When the signing and positioning of the generals were done, four eldest men of Tadeas, one from each city each stood out to make the announcement of who the new king will be, for it was a tradition in Tadeas that the eldest men from each city will come together to put the crown on the head of every new king, and they will pray him before and after doing this, asking that the gods will grant them the wisdom to lead the country in the right and appropriate way that will be pleasing to the whole nation. So the elders held their hands together as they prayed for the crown and the throne, asking that it would not control the king but rather the king should control it. Afterwards, they called forth Dylan Ryan, who the whole people had gathered to watch him being crowned. While he walked up to meet these men, he looked at Gabriel and was surprised that he hadn't brought out the scepter yet, so his mind was beginning to calm down, as he inhaled and exhaled rapidly while climbing up to the thr

In the city of Mayca, at the house of Byron Haas, the message which Sebastian had sent by means of his raven bird got to the soldiers at the gate, and they took it out from the bird, letting it fly back to its city. They knew that every message that came to them by that means and pattern was for lord Byron Haas so they did not bother checking it to confirm who it was for before sending it to Byron, who was still making arrangements for the next day's event. "My lord, there is a message for you." The guard said as he came before Byron. Then she turned and looked at the soldier before asking, "Who is it from?""Lord Sebastian of Gilroy."Then he took the note from his hand to read its contents only to see the inscription that it was not for him, rather it was for Gabriel. So he said to the soldier that had brought. "Take this to Gabriel, he is the one it's for and not me." Then he took it as he confirmed whether it was for Gabriel, before apologizing. Chapter 194. Sensing failure.

In the city of Cyb, as the day for the coronation of Dylan Ryan drew closer than ever, that was the same his curiosity and anxiety grew the most. He was not as happy as he ought to be because he was still unable to figure out the plan which Byron and Gabriel had. Even though he had made sure his army was strong enough to defend him in case of violence, he still feared that there would not be any march for the plan that Byron had made. His greatest anger was that he had no power backing him up this time and even with the warning of the spirit of the witch, he still did not want to as she had told him. He was bent on winning by all means, but he could already sense failure in the plan he had made.Sensing failure was not still enough to tell him to give up the throne, a greater part of him was telling him that there was no plot against him being crowned king over Tadeas, because his spies had not brought any word telling him such, it was still a presumption in his heart there was a plan

Byron had to speak again, "For the last time, we don't have any plan of which we need your help for it to succeed. In short, there is no plan at all to stop the coronation. Since you and Monroe Howard have refused to come to the realization that Gabriel is the only king Tadeas should have at this point, then he would not fight for any throne. On the day of the coronation, as the country will match to watch Dylan Ryan ascend the throne, that is the same way Gabriel and I along with my men will match to witness the king who you have refused to oppose ascend the throne.""But I am telling you right here that I confess Gabriel as my king and I'm ready to do anything to make sure he ascends the throne in his father's stead."Then Gabriel chose to test him since he had made so much pleading and claims that he is now a new person. "To prove to me that you are not the same as you used to be, you will have to take me to the place where you buried my father. I am quite aware that it was you and

So Byron had to come in without allowing him to go further. "Yes, that reminds me, did you tell Monroe about it? And what was his response?""No, I did not tell him about this because he does not know anything about this, so I did not see the need to disturb him with it because he would not understand a signal word that will come from my mouth.""That means you literally have not done anything about what you know that will lead this country to its doom?""Yes. I did not do anything because there is nothing I can single handedly do. I asked for your help yet you did not consent to it. Meaning that you do not want to do anything about it so I also have to forget about doing anything concerning it. So that we will both watch the country be destroyed because that is what you want by not wanting to help me in confronting Dylan to forfeit his interest."Sebastian was really doing a great job at this point to convince Byron into believing that he was a changed person who would want to see Ga

Byron could see that Sebastian had a point in the two things that he had suspected concerning why they were there in his city, but none of them was correct, so he chose to tell him the reason why he had come into Gilroy but did not get to his house, whether he believes it or not. "Well, I do not doubt your thoughts. You are very justified to think that way but then I have to tell you that none of what you said is correct, nor is it even close to the true reason why we were in your lands.""Then speak up. Tell me why you were there and why you returned?""Of course I will. Actually, we were coming to speak to you, but not concerning what you told us. Instead, it is because of what we heard and needed to know the truth. But before we got to your house, we received word that the reason why we were coming there was already settled, so we had to turn around.""Lies! Pure lies.""It's not a lie.""Then prove it. He kept silent as those with him also realized what Monroe was trying to do and they could now see with their own eyes that Monroe deserved to pay for all that he had done.Just as Gabriel was finally about to say something in response to the question that Monroe had asked, Wagner entered into the hall again with the five men he had gone to call for Gabriel and his company."These are the men you seek?" Wagner said. All their attention shifted to theen that had been brought before them. Then Byron said as he suspected something far different from what Monroe had been telling them since they arrived there. "I know you very well Monroe, you are quick to anger and will never let such crime go unpunished, so tell me, why haven't you asked for the execution of these men?" They acted on their own will without hearing from their master." Abby reminded him of what she had told them earlier."You can never trust that man. Maybe it was a plan which he made with his men, even if it wasn't, he still wants me dead and I have to kill him before he kills me.""Yes, we know, but this is not time, let's give him a little more time to make amends and if he doesn't then we shall execute him."

So they loosed the ropes used to tie her hands, also the blindfold was taken off including the mouth which had been covered. Then she could see lord Monroe Howard and she knew that he was innocent of the crime which his men had done because she had heard what he said to them. When she was now loose, Monroe said to her. "What is your name, young lady?""My name is Abby, my lord.""Abby, please forgive my men, they had acted stupidly. I did not give the order to bring you here, instead they had acted on their own will and I am greatly against it. They will take you back home safely.
