Seeing her son so confident, the worry on Emma's face slowly disappeared. Not knowing why, she felt that her son was very different.

Victor went on a mission that the family assigned. Every clan member who had reached adulthood was required to go on a mission. In one year, they must go on at least three missions.

Victor has always been the most diligent person. He needed so much money to support the progress of his son's practice that he was always on a mission.

He only returned home two days ago, moments after his son was critically injured by Gustav. After a day's rest, he went back on mission. He had been doing this for many years.

If it wasn't used to buy various medicines, it was certain that Victor's was the richest Clan Elder.

As soon as Victor left, Jasper approached Emma who was watering the flowers.

"Mom."

Emma turned her head and smiled warmly. "Yes, do you need anything?"

Jasper nodded. "Does mom have money?"

Emma was a little surprised when she heard her son's question. Never once had Jasper asked her something like this. "Money? Of course mom has it. Do you want to buy something?"

"I need some silver coin to buy something."

"What do you need? Let mom buy it for you."

Jasper's condition has indeed improved. But his body is still weak. Emma was worried about Lucas or Gustav bothering her son again.

"I will write down what I need."

Jasper re-entered the house and picked up a brush and paper. He wrote down fifteen kinds of herbs and the amount he wanted. After finishing, he went back outside and handed the paper to Emma.

After reading the note for a while, Emma became confused. These herbs were inexpensive and easy to find, most of which had health-improving properties. Despite her confusion, Emma did not protest and hurried off to buy these items.

Jasper greeted her with a happy face.

"May I ask you a question?" asked Emma.

"What are all these herbs for?"

Jasper looked around, making sure there was no one else in this place. "I want to make cleansing water. There's a lot of pill residue in my body, if it's not cleaned up soon, it will hinder my path in cultivation."

"You can make cleansing water?" Emma asked.

Jasper nodded. He deftly brought all the ingredients to the kitchen.

He made two kinds of tonics in different containers. One contained Cleansing Water and the other was Miracle Water.

Almost two hours Jasper was in the kitchen, he came out excited. In his hands were several bottles containing two different colored waters.

Emma left an hour ago to look after the shop at the Anderson Family Market. Every people in the Anderson Family had to contribute to running the Anderson's business. For several years now, Emma has been guarding the Anderson family's weapon shop.

When Jasper was kids, the weapon shop was managed by Victor. However, since three years ago, Emma had to replace her in managing the gun shop because her husband had to complete a mission.

Jasper put away all the tonic bottles and took one for him to drink. It was Cleansing Water.

After drinking the Cleansing Water, he felt nauseous. Not long after, a thick green liquid came out of her mouth. It was the pill residue that had settled in her body.

"Two more bottles, then the poison in my body will be completely gone."

Jasper went to his backyard. It was the place he used to practice. There were wooden swords as well as wooden spears embedded in the wall.

"I was once the greatest Spear Grandmaster in the Great Land. It wouldn't be fun to relearn what I've already mastered."

Shen Xiaolong picked up the wooden sword that felt familiar. He tried some basic moves like thrusts and slashes, but after only a few minutes, he was already exhausted.

"So lame!" Jasper grumbled.
