Alex ran frantically out of the building at high speed, but it was too late. Electric fields were everywhere, in layers, and he was already overwhelmed to destroy them all with his laser.

In the middle of the dark hall, Alex tried to normalize his ragged breathing. His body was drenched in sweat, hot, and sticky. His heart was pounding wildly and his limp legs began to tremble.

Above the ceiling and walls of the building, there were dozens of mutants clinging like slithering animals. They all seemed to be making a defense to keep Alex from getting out of their way.
