Alex's screams spontaneously stopped as his feet balanced on the concrete floor.

He was safe.

"It's a good thing I survived!" Alex said to himself. He was now repeatedly rubbing his chest to calm himself down.

He thought his body would break from falling hundreds of feet, but he realized that gravity here was not like in the real world. It was as if invisible wings had appeared on his back when he fell, so that his body did not hit the ground directly.
