Chapter 9

Today is the third day and he wants to check the crops. The time has come for the crops to be ripe and he needs to harvest them before they rot.

As he walked inside the farmland, he saw a spread of golden wheat patches in front of him. The wheats are tall with plump ears. It was ready to be harvested. Feng Yue walked closer and saw the clock above the crops had already hit zero.

He squatted beside the patches and started to harvest the wheat. Since it was blue grade seeds, Feng Yue hoped that he could get at least one bag of yellow grade wheat seed.

He spent 45 minutes finishing harvesting all of the crops, and managed to get 5 bags of blue grade wheat seeds and 1 bag of yellow grade wheat seeds. One bag of blue grade wheat seed gave him 438 kilos of wheat.

White grade seed can be harvested for 50 kilograms, and with every grade higher, it gives an additional 150 kilograms. While blue grade seeds can be harvested for 350 kilograms, with his advanced life skill level, he has a passive buff for getting 25% more yield.

After sowing new seeds, Feng Yue went to the mission hall to refresh the mission list and check on the NPC. There were 2 NPC who visited his campsite today.

[ Name : Brian | Level : 8 | Skills : Fire arrow | Rank : B ]

[ Name : Lily | Level : 7 | Skills : Forging - Intermediate | Rank : B ]

Feng Yue grinned when he saw the NPCs list. He used 1.000 coins and hired both of them and changed Brian’s name into Archer 001, and Lily’s name into Blacksmith 001.

Both of them knelt with lowered heads and said in unison, “Greetings, My Lord.”

“Archer 001, you will patrol every night. Blacksmith 001, you will craft one novice weapon for each type. The materials will be put inside the warehouse.” Feng Yue said.

He opened the camp’s information and decided to buy a workshop building and warehouse. He spent another 2.000 coins to buy the buildings. After placing his low level materials inside the warehouse, and giving white grade armor to Archer 001, he went back to his tent.

[ Name : Winter Night | Size : Campsite ( Campsite, village, town, city, country ) | Level : 1 / 10 | Building : 5/ 6 (+1) ( farmland, mission hall, restaurant, warehouse, workshop. ) | Population : 45 / 100 ( permanent resident : 2 , temporary resident : 43 ) | Note : Free barrier will be turn off after 11 days ]

He looked at the level of the camp and frowned. He can only buy one more building, and the camp needs 55 more residents and 9 levels to upgrade it to a village. The problem is that he simply doesn't know how to upgrade the camp’s level.

While he was trying to remember every detail of the closed beta version of the Phantom online, a transparent box appeared in front of him.

[ Winter Night Campsite’s residents reached 100. Do you wish to upgrade it? Yes or No ]

Feng Yue saw the status of the campsite and pressed ‘Yes’ without hesitation after checking the cost. It only cost him 1.000 coins to upgrade the camp’s level. The campsite shook and people shouted in shock. After ten minutes, the campsite became larger. He opened the campsite’s status.

[ Name : Winter Night | Size : Campsite ( Campsite, village, town, city, country ) | Level : 2 / 10 | Building : 5 / 6 (+1) ( farmland, mission hall, restaurant, warehouse, workshop. ) | Population : 100 / 150 ( permanent resident : 17, temporary resident : 83) | Note : Free barrier will be turn off after 11 days ]

Looking at the remaining time on the Barrier, Feng Yue closed his eyes and fell asleep.

Early the next morning, Feng Yue got up before dawn and went to the mission hall to check. After three days, he accumulated a lot of materials for making low-level potions and inventory bags.

He refreshed the mission list, returned to his tent, and began to prepare the materials for making inventory bags. He noticed that most of the players, including Xiao Feng, were still carrying an ordinary backpack.

It's not efficient because it can't hold many items. After killing a few monsters, they need to go back to the camp to store their items before they can go hunting again. This greatly reduces their efficiency.

As a good friend, he will make some inventory bags and give them to Xiao Feng. Feng Yue started cutting designs and sewing the bags. Feng Yue is a handsome guy with a height of 185 cm. He held that delicate little needle and concentrated on sewing, looking out of place.

Two hours later, he had completed three inventory bags, one green grade, two blue grades. For Xiao Feng, it should be enough for the time being. He will make more tomorrow.

After sorting out the inventory bags, he took out the alchemy tools from his storage and prepared the materials for refining the potion. At his current alchemy level, he has a passive buff that grants him an additional level of items when refining potions, poisons, or elixirs.

Looking at the tools and ingredients in front of him, Feng Yue fell into deep thought. He didn't really know what to do next. When he played the close beta test, he just clicked on the tool and put the materials in. After two seconds, the elixir or potion will be ready. Now he needs to do everything manually.

He touched the alchemy tools to check it, and as soon as his fingers touched the tools, a box appeared in front of him. Inside the box was a list of items he had previously learned or successfully crafted.

Feng Yue touched the small red potion name, and saw a row of small boxes in front of him. Above the box are the names of the ingredients and the amount needed to craft the potion. He took a bottle of gel from his backpack and put it in the box.

Seeing that the gel could be put into the box, Feng Yue took the remaining materials, put them in the box, and pressed the craft button. In less than two seconds, the material is gone. Ten bottles of Small Red Potion and three bottles of Medium Red Potion floated in front of him.

He smiled and put the potion into his inventory bag. Feng Yue spent the whole day refining more potions, elixirs, poisons, and some bombs. He didn't stop to rest until he had finished all the materials.

When he was done, Feng Yue left his tent and saw a group of people near the campfire. Curious, he walked towards the crowd. As he approached, a thick blood stench rushed straight to his nostrils, and he couldn't help frowning.
