Chapter 1: The Beginning

"Hahaha I gave that stupid man a funny name, looks like I get the last laugh! Serves him right for calling an angel weak!"

"Well you did lose to him, is that how you return his favor of not killing you? Not that either of you will remember anyway though. Whatever, go get ready, you'll be in the next batch."

Everything is black

'Where am I?'

'what a dumb name, who the hell came up with that'

'Why can't I remember anything?'

Suddenly everything turns white

'Are these my hands? Guess so'

As poko looks around he sees other people just like him, confused and looking around. Everyone is spread out seemingly randomly and they go as far as he could see in every direction. The closest person is probably 40 ft away.

Someone in the distance yells

"HELLO? WHATS GOING ON HERE"

And as if to answer, a screen suddenly pops up in front of everyone that reads:

[Welcome contestants! You are the first batch of challengers to the tower, your memories have been wiped to make things fair and to make sure you do not bring any new inventions to our tower. No cheese for you! With that said if you can come up with something without remembering it from your past life, then all bets are off so good luck!]

[The goal in the tower is simple, reach the top. The tower is generous and gives everybody stats and skills to help you on your path! Open your menu to see them!]

[These stats are only modifiers the tower applies for you, if you workout a bunch and fight someone who is lazy, even if they have higher physical power it might be you who hits the hardest. Of course you can only do so much with your own body thus the tower's generosity]

[When you complete a floor you will be rewarded with ap to use on your stats and some other rewards based on your performance, such as skills! Skill rewards are classified by classes however contestants are not restricted by classes, a contestant can have and use skills from any class]

Poko picks storage first but as he goes to hit blink next, the screen changes back to the previous screen.

'Mana Bolt and Shield seem pretty ordinary, idk what meditation does but it sounds like a spell that supports my other null magic. Although maybe it works with other spells? These really need descriptions, I'm just gunna go for meditation'

'Alright, three more. If I get a sword skill it'll prob be best but I've already picked two spells so maybe I should just be a full mage… I'll pick fire next since I need an attack spell'

'Oh Fire is still an option? I guess it only disappears for rare skills. I should get a crafting and gathering skill since I have storage. The other skills need equipment I don't have so I guess chef sounds good.'

When he finished the selection, 5 skill tomes appeared next to him with his other rewards. Although he had to laugh as he saw how the sword was just haphazardly shoved into the pack, most of it sticking out.

As he picked up the tomes, a prompt was given.

After learning all the tomes, poko looked at his new stats page.

'Now to distribute my points, let's just go with mp and one point into stamina.'
