"I apologize," Spellmaster said. He continued, "Let me explain this clearly. The Magic Network is one of Haydel's proposed theories, it is described as an untouchable place where any form of magic, evil and good, is defined." "Defined?" Phize pondered. "Simply said, it is where magic does what it does. Why magic works the way it does." He paused for a bit then went on. "Haydel. The most infamous person in the history of man. A grand master magic practitioner and might possibly be one of the strongest beings in the universe. I've read multiple texts about her and there was barely any new info about her. However, a few years back, I raided one of the Alganists' bases." "Hold on, what are Alganists?" Taya questioned. Spellmaster sighed, "You people barely know anything of this world. Fine." He elaborated further, "Alganists, one of Altrew's minority cults. They worship beings named as Algans. Supposed beings grant them powers. Now, back to the topic at hand. I raided one of their
"Honestly, I'm flabbergasted. I didn't get a single person to agree or understand my concerns at hand. No matter, there is a reason that we were created differently, so we share different views and opinions," Spellmaster stated. He turned to Braille and Leonard."You two, go search around the school and find those grimoires," he instructed them."Roger!" both of them answered.Braille took the left side while Leonard took the right side.Martin shouted, "Braille! I haven't taken care of your broken arm yet!"All of them stood up."Hey! What are you doing?" Hazel yelled."I'm ordering them to find the grimoires," Spellmaster answered."You can't do that! We didn't agree to your cause.""I have to make you all understand. At whatever cost, I will go on and follow what my heart tells me to do.""You jerk!"Hazel ran off to chase Braille."Hazel!" Phize yelled. He was about to chase after her when Trif stopped him. Trif shook his head."We have a bigger problem in our hands," he said to P
Inside a classroom on the third floor, Helix was sleeping on a desk but he was disrupted when he felt violent rumbling. He stood up and looked everywhere."Where is that coming from?"The rumbling stopped. He went outside the classroom and examined his surroundings."Where did the devil dogs go?""I-I don't feel so good. My face feels numb, but the injuries in my leg seem to have stopped bleeding somehow," he thought."Thank goodness, I managed to grasp how to cast a healing spell thanks to Martin."More violent rumblings formed. He fell to the ground."GYAH!"It ended shortly after a few minutes."Ow, ow, ow…""Who's causing all these quakes down below?" he pondered. He managed to stand up and he walked slowly."I-I should go and check it out."A few steps in and he was met with another quake, although, this was stronger in magnitude. He lost his balance again and saw a part of the hallway got shredded through by two unknown objects. He stared in shock.Shortly after, he heard the so
Right off the bat, Spellmaster cast two spells simultaneously, "Kill Phize! Kill Phize! Kill Phize!" Three magic circles formed and were directed at Phize. "The kid must have Spell Intercept and I know very well that every spell has a bit of a cooldown. It prevents spell spamming," Spellmaster surmised. "Cancel," Phize thought. One of the magic circles broke and so did those that came after. "What? How did he-" Spellmaster wondered. Trif and Lili charged at him. He ordered her, "Chant these effect spells with me." She nodded. He chanted, "Strength. Speed." Lili followed his orders, "Strength. Speed." Both glowed red and yellow for a quick second. They charged Spellmaster. "Blowback," Spellmaster chanted. A strong force pushed both of them back. They held their ground. "First and foremost, I have to eliminate Phize Gratham Drestil. He possesses an unknown ability," Spellmaster intellectualized. "Come to me!" Lili yelled. Trif nodded and did what she told him. She grabbed
Lili's eyes were half-open. Her strength was waning and her shoulder wouldn't stop bleeding.Trif panicked everywhere and he was even sobbing. He decided to rip through his clothes and wrap them around her shoulder."STAY IN THERE, LILI!"Phize stood there idly."I've never seen Trif cry this much," he thought."D-Don't worry, guys… I-I can heal… I've got some special blood in me…" she reassured. She glanced at her shoulder."Huh? Wh-Why isn't it healing? I-It should have recovered by now.""No need to speak any further, Lili," Trif told her."Now look what you made me do," Spellmaster spoke.Trif glanced at him with wide, open, and furious eyes."This is all because you wouldn't listen to my demands," Spellmaster explained, "Because of your foolishness… I, injured your frie-"Trif interfered, "Shut up, you sick maniac."Spellmaster simply raised his left eyebrow."Wanna continue?" he asked.Phize put his right hand on his face in disappointment."I was a fool. I should've connected m
"Were my eyes deceiving me? Or was Lili missing an arm? Were my eyes deceiving me? Or was Trif stabbed in the eye and lying dead on the floor?" Phize thought. He trembled in shock and fear and my legs gave in. "I can't process all of this. We were supposed to be together, weren't we?" he thought. He took a glance at Spellmaster. Spellmaster had this apathetic glare at Trif's body. "I hate it. I hate it. I hate it when I warn people and they don't listen," he said, "Now look what you made people me do again." He chanted, "Instant Regeneration." Just like that, Phize saw Spellmaster's bone and muscle form from his elbow and his left arm was brand new. He opened and closed his arm. "What a fruitless endeavor," he commented. "What did you say?" Phize asked. "I said that his sacrifice was useless," Spellmaster repeated. "You may be Pallitra's older brother… but you are nothing like her!" "What am I even doing? What am I doing right now watching as these events unfold? Haven't I
It was 4:13 PM.Spellmaster's body fell to the ground."Wh-Who are you?" Phize asked."Oh me? My name is Harris Whitey, the 7th Heavenly Knight," the man with the white coat and buttons answered."A-A Heavenly Knight?!" Grendall panicked."Thank goodness, it's finally over," Taya answered."Sorry it took me a while. I literally had to go from the Milas, which was at the edge of the continent, to Hiometry to receive the orders and finally, here at Veril," Harris explained. He took a good look around and saw Trif's dead body and what remained with Lili's."I-I'm so sorry for your loss," Harris apologized, "But at least the issue has been resolved. Phew, the one I killed just now was Spellmaster, right?"Phize, Taya, and Grendall nodded."Thank God, I managed to kill him in one slash," he stated."And who said I was dead?" a voice from behind questioned.Harris was alerted, took the sword he used earlier, and slashed behind him. The one who owned the voice was Spellmaster and he was back
Harris took his sword from the ground. Upon closer inspection, the sword had very fine details such as an embossed and glossy yellow handle and a thick but sharp blade. He wore a short coat, one that does not extend too long and only reaches a few centimeters below the shoulders with the three beige rose-shaped buttons keeping it in place above the cream-colored shirt below it. He wore royal blue jeans and had black sharp-tipped shoes. He had brown hair and black eyes.He slowly approached Spellmaster.Spellmaster did the same while preparing his hands that were covered with the gray merino wool gloves. He chanted simultaneously, "Instant Regeneration. Spell Active."Harris prepared a thrust while a few meters away.He spoke, "Heavenly First Form: Pierce!"A strong force clustered up and shot in Spellmaster's direction. He dodged the force and it ended up breaking through the walls of the school. It formed a large hole.He chanted consecutive spells, "Kill A! Kill A! Kill A! Kill A! K
Hello fans! Sorry for the wait. I have been especially busy with school and a lot of personal stuff happened too. I'm back in business!... or so I'd like to say but that hiatus made me a bit lax so I need to write more and more to recover my memories of where we left off and the speed of my typing. I apologize for having no updates upon the series for months. Please continue to give me your support, give your comments if you'd like, give your reviews, I'm all up for it. Without further ado, let's finally give an end to Phize's tale. We're about halfway through so please bear with me until then okay? Thank you for your continued support! And thank you for reading this far into the series!
Guys, I really apologize for not updating for so long. My parents do not allow me to write, and it's a lot harder especially since I'm in high school, so I have to focus a bit more on my studies. However, that doesn't mean I'm abandoning this series or the other, it's just on hold. I'm unsure if I can update at the same time as Mob, but I will try to update in summer as well, so please look forward to it. Please continue to follow my series and follow my twitter if you can. You can simply search my author name and it pops up. Thank you for understanding! And that is all for now!
That's it for now for the mass posting. I want to spend at least my New Year's by playing and doing dumb stuff and whatnot. So I will go on an indefinite hiatus once more. I will mass-post when I have enough. Thank you all for reading my story and for reaching it this far. I hope you continue to support me even when I am away. Don't forget to join my discord server (it's in the synopsis) if you want. Thank you all for your support and this is me signing off for the year! Have a great New Year!
"To make me say that would have to take a bit of convincing, I'm afraid," Phize stated."Not convinced after seeing my face?""Mmmm, nope. Anyway, have your parents visited you?""Just normal talk," he thought."Nope.""Why?""Busy on taking land domain. Both of them.""I seem to think I'm the only one with decent parents this time around," he thought."I see. Do you miss them?""Why are you here?" she asked."Yikes, she ignored my question. She must really hate me," he surmised, "I've got a long way ahead of me.""If you came here to interrogate me, I insist you get your eyes checked and get out of here. I might get infected by your miasma.""Can't back down. I have to set my status to be someone at least equal to her," he thought."Woah, calm down. Just wanted to get to know you better.""Well, I'm not willing.""We're going to be seeing each other for a few days or weeks to pass. You can't find yourself chatting with Qi or Trod only.""Ahem, I can choose who to speak with. It is so
"C-Cursed Child?" Taya asked as she got up."Please address me by my real name," Phize suggested."Hearing her say the name from her own mouth makes me feel like it's an insult. I rather her call me Phize," he thought."Wh-Where am I?""The doctors can answer that for you."They ambushed Taya. She asked all kinds of questions and so did the doctors."Don't let me regret my decision," Phize mumbled to himself. He left the room and peacefully walked in the hallways. He got lost in his own mind that he did not notice how much time passed by and how many medical personnel got past him."Hm… never imagined my thought process was capable of forming such inhumane thoughts."There was a slight halt to his speculation."Well, that might be the case when I do not refer to humans. She did not treat me like a human and as implied just now, she still does not. So, if she doesn't treat me like one… why do I have to treat her as such? I have no obligation to.""This is the path I chose. If I have to
Phize called for the doctors, and they scurried to the room.Once they entered, they saw that Vhint held Harris's hand and grasped it firmly. It almost seemed like the two were once close. The scenery could be interpreted as a person mourning the comatose of a dear best friend."Dad?" Phize asked with the arrival of the doctors.Vhint faced them with flowing tears."Did we… interrupt something?" Phize questioned."No, no…"Vhint stood up and stepped aside."Please… go ahead."The doctors surrounded Harris.Phize faced his father."Father… do you happen to know Harris? Were you close with him?"Vhint made an obvious excuse. The time it took to get the answer hinted at it."… I'm just an empathetic person. When I saw how badly injured he was, it made me cry. How a person went through such pain… makes me feel pity.""I can tell what he said was a half-truth. But even so, that reasoning of his is very endearing, and it is obvious he still has some demons to fight. I will respect that," Ph
Welson was inside the room he entered. He stared blankly at the book that was on top of the desk."Phize… Gratham… Drestil… that kid… how could I ever forget his face?"He remembered the time he kept punching his face 7 years ago."My daughter… I already accepted that it wasn't your fault. I already knew the truth by then. But why… why did you have to get involved with my son… OF ALL PEOPLE?!"He banged the desk. His breathing began to increase in frequency. This, later on, calmed down."How am I supposed to think you're innocent when you downright kill him?"He felt conflicted. He put his head on the book and placed his hands on top of his head.He whispered, "… Stop haunting me… Leave me alone… Why did you have to interfere… Get out of my head… Get out of my head… Get out of my head… Get out of my head… Get out of my head… Get out of my head…"He kept on muttering the same phrase over and over again, steadily increasing in tone and volume."Get out of my head… Get out of my head… GE
The children at the beach were playing with a ball. It was very reminiscent of the last happy memory he ever formed back in the past world. … .. . 25 years ago, in Germany. It was a very snowy day. There was a young boy who held the hands of his parents. He was stepping playfully on the snow that formed at their feet. All of them had red beanies and brown boots. His parents wore brown trenches and blue-green gloves, while the little kid had a thick blue sweater and green mittens just right for his size. The kid counted his steps. "One, two, three, four…" The family arrived at a park. There, they met up with another family who also had their son. They had similar attire. They nudged their son. "Come on, Ansgar." The parents of the first and second families met up, leaving the two children be. "U-Uh, 'sup," Ansgar answered nervously. "Hm? Why so nervous?" the other child asked. "I mean, seeing each other after school still really strikes me as odd… so…" "Ah, is that so…
On top of a tall and flat building, there was a man who had blonde hair, and brown eyes and wore a clear white robe that extended from his shoulders to his legs. He wore a necklace shaped like a diamond with a star in the middle, and in the middle of that star was an eye, made of metal. He kept watch over the city below."Such beautiful scenery…" he uttered.A man in a thick cream and brown robe approached him, who also wore the same necklace whispered into his ear."Mhm… Mhm… What? Wait, what? Could you repeat that again? You can speak up, we are the only ones here," he permitted. The man took a few steps back and cleared his throat."Ehem… I have received leaks from the mouths of the Alganists. According to what I have heard, they declared that Spellmaster was dead and that they were cheering because they were on their way to conquering the minds of the people.""Wh-What is the meaning of this?! Spellmaster… is dead? Is that information accurate?""It has been confirmed by two such
