"Were my eyes deceiving me? Or was Lili missing an arm? Were my eyes deceiving me? Or was Trif stabbed in the eye and lying dead on the floor?" Phize thought. He trembled in shock and fear and my legs gave in. "I can't process all of this. We were supposed to be together, weren't we?" he thought. He took a glance at Spellmaster. Spellmaster had this apathetic glare at Trif's body. "I hate it. I hate it. I hate it when I warn people and they don't listen," he said, "Now look what you made people me do again." He chanted, "Instant Regeneration." Just like that, Phize saw Spellmaster's bone and muscle form from his elbow and his left arm was brand new. He opened and closed his arm. "What a fruitless endeavor," he commented. "What did you say?" Phize asked. "I said that his sacrifice was useless," Spellmaster repeated. "You may be Pallitra's older brother… but you are nothing like her!" "What am I even doing? What am I doing right now watching as these events unfold? Haven't I
It was 4:13 PM.Spellmaster's body fell to the ground."Wh-Who are you?" Phize asked."Oh me? My name is Harris Whitey, the 7th Heavenly Knight," the man with the white coat and buttons answered."A-A Heavenly Knight?!" Grendall panicked."Thank goodness, it's finally over," Taya answered."Sorry it took me a while. I literally had to go from the Milas, which was at the edge of the continent, to Hiometry to receive the orders and finally, here at Veril," Harris explained. He took a good look around and saw Trif's dead body and what remained with Lili's."I-I'm so sorry for your loss," Harris apologized, "But at least the issue has been resolved. Phew, the one I killed just now was Spellmaster, right?"Phize, Taya, and Grendall nodded."Thank God, I managed to kill him in one slash," he stated."And who said I was dead?" a voice from behind questioned.Harris was alerted, took the sword he used earlier, and slashed behind him. The one who owned the voice was Spellmaster and he was back
Harris took his sword from the ground. Upon closer inspection, the sword had very fine details such as an embossed and glossy yellow handle and a thick but sharp blade. He wore a short coat, one that does not extend too long and only reaches a few centimeters below the shoulders with the three beige rose-shaped buttons keeping it in place above the cream-colored shirt below it. He wore royal blue jeans and had black sharp-tipped shoes. He had brown hair and black eyes.He slowly approached Spellmaster.Spellmaster did the same while preparing his hands that were covered with the gray merino wool gloves. He chanted simultaneously, "Instant Regeneration. Spell Active."Harris prepared a thrust while a few meters away.He spoke, "Heavenly First Form: Pierce!"A strong force clustered up and shot in Spellmaster's direction. He dodged the force and it ended up breaking through the walls of the school. It formed a large hole.He chanted consecutive spells, "Kill A! Kill A! Kill A! Kill A! K
"Grab on, kid," Harris told Trif. All copies of Spellmaster chanted at the same time, "Kill A. Kill B." Trif grabbed his coat and looked away. Harris banged his sword for another time and spoke, "Heavenly Third Form: Grounding." The command spells were nullified. Trif chanted, "Appraisal." He saw the magic signatures of each copy of Spellmaster but only the second one to the right only had a life signature. The rest tried to mimic heartbeats although unsuccessful in tricking the radar. "There. Over there, that is the original," he said as he pointed at the original. "You know? Then let's take it up a notch," the original stated. All 7 copies of Spellmaster chanted at the same time. "Groundbreaking Ma-" "Shadow Bur-" "Kill-" "Boulder C-" "Lightning Bo-" "Blindne-" "Oblitera-" Harris prepared to swing his sword sidewards. "Heavenly Second Form: Strike!" He swung it in the direction of the copies and along with the spells they cast, the copies vanished into magic partic
As what is stated above... School is coming back after 2 days prior to this so you people can infer what that means... hiatus. I've been updating consistently for the past few days for my two books and with school coming back I wouldn't be able to have much time to do so anymore. I hope you guys understand. As for the length of the hiatus... it may take 1 month, 2 months or so, but do expect in the future that there will be mass uploads. I might still update on my other book, A Mob Character Surrounded by Main Characters Wants to be MC, so please do check that out sometime if you can. With, that I guess I should be preparing my stuff to go back to school. That's all I wanted to say and thank you all for the various support you've given me. If you want to talk to me, you can always consider joining my discord server: https://discord.gg/abyqpHZhggSee you all soon.
Phize and Harris heard the strike and turned around. Phize questioned, "When did…" Both of them charged after Spellmaster. Spellmaster himself was reviving back. Trif dropped his sword, went to Lili, and princess carried her. "Wh-Wha?!" she yelped. Her tail went stiff. "We have to get you some place safe," he said. Then suddenly he felt weak. The effects of the spell wore off and he started breathing uneasily. "You don't need to," Lili told him. Trif slowly dropped her to the ground. "I-I'm sorry," Trif apologized as he dropped her again. He chanted, "Painless." "I feel weaker by the second. I need to make this quick. Thankfully, with Magilation I was able to stand up and even fight; else I would've been long dead with blood loss, internal bleeding, and with whatever medical complication I got," he surmised. "Teleportation," Spellmaster chanted. Zap. He teleported behind him and touched Trif. Phize cast a spell, "Weaken!" His magic radius connected with Spellmaster's.
"Interesting," Eauvis commented. "Yeah, it was supposed to be another name but then my parents changed it after they knew about my condition," Ortho stated. "Condition? What condition?" Ortho paused for a bit. "As I said, the Strata Clan was known for having these Divine Blessings, right? Well… surprise, surprise… this guy didn't get any. Instead, I got these frequent headaches." He continued, "For the first time in the history of the Strata Clan, this has been the first time in the famous family that someone didn't get one." "Well… how did your parents feel about it?" Eauvis questioned. "I think they believed in me. They trusted me that I had an ability, which is why they transferred me school after school in hopes of awakening that ability." "And how is it going?" Ortho went silent, got sad, and crawled himself up. "Nothing. Still nothing. All I have are these headaches that keep getting worse." He sobbed. "I can't live up to their expectations. I…" His tears continued
Ortho arrived by the school entrance and the guards let him in."Wh-What happened to me back there? Why did I suddenly faint?" he pondered."I feel like I had a dream."He tapped his forehead as he walked by the hallways."What? Why can't I remember it? Although with all that, one word can't seem to escape my head," he figured."Magic Network.""What is that?" he wondered. He shook his head and slapped his cheeks."No good! I have to keep myself in tip-top shape! But… I don't feel like going home today."…...He went to the Principal's Office and opened the door. From there, Eauvis greeted him with a wave. However, he experienced another headache and trembled down to the floor. Eauvis rushed to his aid."Easy there, easy there," he said to comfort him.He grabbed a glass of medicine pills and took one. He gave it to him."Here, gulp one."Ortho was about to reach for it until the pain grew worse and he fell unconscious once more."ORTHO?!" Eauvis panicked.Ortho tried his best to co
