Hagah raises her index finger and places it near her mouth.
"Shhh. Take a seat down first."
He reluctantly sits down on the old bed.
"You. You were the one who brought us here, didn't you? I remember. What's your reason for bringing us here?"
She grabs a chair and gently sits down.
"Haydel, she was the mother of all the witches. Witches know most of the ancient magic that is born from this world and is also the creator of most of them. But people despised her power, so she was killed, and so were some of her children..."
He wondered, "What is she talking about?"
"You were wondering why I brought you here, no?"
He was surprised by her reaction.
"It is best to explain from the very beginning since I am very well aware that you would ask questions afterward. So listen carefully..." she continues explaining, "the main reason for our mother's decapitation was because of a certain spell, which is known as Perfect Immortality, however, she was only able to present to her children a half-baked formula for Immortality, which prevents us, her children, to die of old age, but we would still keep aging. And so we thought of something to prevent this..."
He gulps anxiously.
"...By hunting the organs of people."
"These people. They are monsters... But... one thing does raise my suspicion," he mulls over.
He clenches his fist to control his conserved rage.
"I'm not agreeing or allowing any of you to do these by any means, but it appears to me that all of you seem to hunt down children instead of adults, why is that? They have more developed bodies than children, right?"
"We tried that you see. It resulted in the deaths of my fellow sisters. So we decided to kill children for the sake of our safety. Besides, we wouldn't want to always fight, since young children would freak out at the sight of this place."
He was dumbfounded. It took him a while before he could utter another word.
"...I have two questions."
"I know it's pointless to ask this first one, but I refuse to believe something so inhumane would happen," he thought.
"Go ahead."
He asks, "First question, what did you people, do to those children you captured?"
"Just to confirm my suspicion," he said to himself.
She raises her eyebrows.
"My, my, I thought it must've been obvious, well now, I wish I didn't have to say it myself, but... we eat them."
Shivers go down his spine.
"The rest of the process requires magic to preserve our insides and our outside appearance. Your friend has white hair, beautifully grown too, and I specifically chose her because I wanted it for myself."
"THIS... MONSTER!" he angrily thought.
He clenches his fist harder than before digging his nails into his own skin.
"No, control your anger. I don't know what her powers are, I have to stay calm," he speculated.
"Now for my second question... Why... did you save me back there? You ARE a witch right? Your intention is to eat us, children. Why is it that I was saved?"
"Now, what a marvelous question, indeed. Tell me, how would a normal 5-year-old kid react in a situation like this?"
He was puzzled, "5 years old, is she indirectly referring to my age?"
"They would freak out and cry for their mommy. But you? You seem to be awfully confident to even try and go upstairs, any 5-year-old would have been dead already. Not only that, to be able to boldly ask a witch out these questions, such courage," she said so with a firm tone to her final words.
"W-What are you implying?"
"I can see your soul directly, child. You are not really 5 years old, are you not? Your soul has lived for around a total of 25 years. Now, where did those 20 extra years come from?"
He begins to sweat nervously.
"I purposely threw you to the disposal room so that I could get a glimpse of you. If it weren't for me. You would've already been dead. For now, let's get back on topic. If I touch a person's skin for a certain amount of time, I can see their lifetime's amount of memories."
"T-There was a thing like that?" he thought.
"And I have gotten quite attracted to you. But something bothers me. Aside from your pathetic life in the other world, from the 5 years you have spent in this world, why are you acting like a 5-year-old? You're supposed to be a 25-year-old, then why aren't you acting like one? Act your age, fool."
Tears are released from his eyes.
"I know. I know these past few years, I've been acting childish. But I don't care. YOU SAW, DIDN'T YOU? I JUST WANTED TO ENJOY THE CHILDHOOD I NEVER HAD! IS SOMETHING LIKE THAT SO CRUEL?!" he furiously shouted.
"You were reincarnated in this world for a reason, SO ACT ON YOUR MISSION! Right now, you are a pathetic wimp but don't worry, I'm sure my sisters would mold you into shape," she says so lightly with a chuckle.
Pallitra's voice is heard outside, "PHIZE! WHERE ARE YOU?!"
"PALLITRA?"
"BE QUIET THERE WILL YOU?" Odenna shouts fiercely coming from the same place.
"She's in trouble. I have to save her!" he thought.
He runs towards the door. Hagah raises her right hand and a magic circle forms from her right hand.
She chants, "Open."
He opens the door and runs outside the room.
"Make sure to find the one who reincarnated you. If you manage to get out of here alive that is."
Phize exits the hallway and rushes downstairs. He opens the door through the kitchen.
Before him, he sees Pallitra chained to the table and Odenna holding a butcher knife preparing to chop her up.
"STOP!"
END OF EPISODE 17
Pallitra is on the table strapped to the chains. "You. How did you get out of the preservation room?" Odenna asks. He chants, "ICICLE BARRAGE!" A magic circle forms from his right hand and icicles shoot toward her. "MAGIC?" She instantly dodges to the right and casts magic. "Magic Bullet!" Within his own thoughts, he unconsciously said, "CANCEL!" Odenna' magic circle breaks and fades out immediately after he thought of the word. "Wh-What happened?" Zagia and the second witch come down the stairs from the ruckus. "What happened?" the second witch asked. Zagia sees Phize sweating nervously looking at his surroundings, "YOU LITTLE PRICK!" "I don't get it... my magic circle disappeared. And I still have a lot of mana inside of me too," Odenna asks as she stares blankly at her hands. "PHIZE! ARE YOU GOOD WITH ROCK FORMATION MAGIC?" Pallitra asks him. "WHAT DO YOU
Inside the Phize's room, a large bulky figure inside the blanket is made out from the bed. A little boy opens the door and shakes the figure."Big brother, it's time to wake up."Lexia opens the door and enters the room."Did your big brother wake up yet?"A little girl hugs Lexia from behind."Mom!" the little girl gleefully said."Oh sweetie, you shouldn't be here."She leads the little boy and the little girl outside. Taking a look upon that large bulk, her face show hints of sadness."Oh, Phize..."She approaches it and then taps one of what seemed to be his shoulder."Phize, I know you're having a hard time and you can skip school if you want to. But you have to move on, I'm sure Pallitra wouldn't be happy if she saw you in the state you're in right now."She leaves the room and closes the door behind her. After the soft click of the door leaves, Phize rises from his bed taller than before with longer
The next day passes by, morning came, and Phize goes inside the school. He enters the classroom and sits down on his chair. He asked himself, "What am I supposed to do right now...""It's been so long since I've thought about my purpose..."He is reminiscent of what Hagah said to him. Her voice echoes through his mind, "...SO ACT ON YOUR MISSION!..."He looks at the whiteboard Hasha is writing on."So, I'm supposed to do what I'm supposed to, eh? Thinking about it, why was I reincarnated? Wasn't it a second chance for me? Or was there another purpose?" he extrapolated."Wait...""Why am I supposed to fulfill the request of someone I don't know? Sure, I'd like to thank them... but this is my life. I should find my own purpose," he comprehended.......He sighs. He tries to envision what he could do."All I had in mind was to change myself and spend my everyday life... with her. Now that she's gone,
He cries."God... I'm pathetic..."He stares at the ground.Inside his mind, thoughts of regret lingers, "I shouldn't have come to school... I shouldn't have tried..."Someone knocks on the door of the stall he was in."Hello? Phize?"It was Hazel."P-Please leave me alone for now...""I'm sorry...""What for... I don't understand why you should be apologizing to me...""You're going through something aren't you? Sorry for being so passive about it. I was just..." she stops in between her words, "...I was going through many problems at the time as well.""It's okay..." he says with a forced tone."NO, IT'S NOT! To be honest, I didn't feel much at the disappearance of Pallitra because we weren't close. But from the looks of it, the two of you were very close and something bad must've happened to her."He wipes his tears. The bell rings."Oh, the bell rang."Utter silence is
Inside the classroom..."We made a deal earlier that I and Hazel would be strangers until I accepted the fact that Pallitra is gone. Though with that said, I don't exactly regret talking to her, it sort of gave me... reassurance with myself."He looks at Hasha standing in front of her desk."I might as well listen to the discussion for now..." he thought."In this world, there are many types of magic, we have 6 major types of magic which are specifically Rock, Fire, Water, Wind, Light, and Dark Magic. We have some minor types and some examples of these are Creation Magic, Storage Magic, and much much more. But first, let's go into them one by one...""It's been a while since I listened to a discussion. Though I don't think I can force myself to progress with the case of her loss, I can at the very least progress, with something else," he murmured.Back at home, Phize is at the table eating with Lizia, his little brother, Lexia, and Vhint.
"B-But, I'm not really good at teaching," Vhint announces."I only know magic..." Lexia worries."That's alright!" he said with an earnest smile.Lexia sees the bright smile and decides to smile back at him."You're pretty motivated for this, aren't you?" she asks him even though she already knew the answer."Of course, mom!""I'm glad he's getting better," she thought."Alright then! We'll start teaching you tomorrow! You better not slack!" she warned him."I wouldn't dream of it!"Another day ends and the day starts once more, at a clear plain field only a few meters away from the hotel they live in.Clash. The sound of wooden swords hitting their blades is heard on the fields. Both the father and son fight. Vhint holds his wooden sword against Phize, he's clearly panting. He tries to provoke him, "Come on, son! I'm sure you can do better than that!""I am doing my best!"They stare at each
Once more, Vhint and Phize fight on the same grassy fields."Did you take my advice from last time?""Yes, dad.""Since he told me how to use my peripheral vision, it's almost like I widened my vision as a whole," he thought."Ready to put yourself to the test?" Vhint questioned."Of course!""Alright then, first let's position ourselves," Vhint declared.Slowly but surely, they back away from each other."Alright then, in 3... 2...1..."Phize approaches Vhint and attacks him with a slash, only to be blocked by his own wooden sword."Remember, your sword is your offense and defense," Vhint teaches.Vhint swings his sword to counter his blow and it pushes Phize with enough force to blow him back. However, he still remains standing.Once again, Phize makes another attempt and charges right at him while Vhint uses a downward slash.Phize swiftly dodges to the right and goes for a pierce.V
Everyone in class is chattering about and then Hasha enters the classroom.Feeling lively, she greeted them, "Good morning, everyone!"Everyone in the class answered, "Good morning, teacher!""All of you seem excited! I'm sure all of you have heard of today's event right?""A TOURNAMENT!""Precisely! Now then, everyone lines up outside, because we're going on a trip to the arena! With the exception of the candidates, the candidates will be following someone else. They would be following the school principal! Eauvis Monsoor himself!"The students were found aghast."I'm sure he should arrive around..."Suddenly, Eauvis enters the classroom and passes through Hasha, she wasn't expecting him to arrive so she was set back."Good morning, children," Eauvis greets the students."Good morning!""I'm sure all of you are already waiting in anticipation for today's event, and I shall not make this announcement any lo
