Phize gulped, "We've arrived."They spotted 5 people in front of the school entrance."Hide!" Trif ordered. They went to the copses of trees in front of the school and hid by the fallen leaves and branches and whispered to each other."What's the game plan this time? Should we do the same act as earlier?" Phize asked."No, we mustn't if there are guards outside, there are bound to be people inside as well. Lili, this distance is too far for you to use Appraisal right?" Trif asked."Yeah, it's too far for me to use a spell," Lili confirmed."What should we do? We can't do the same thing as last time... its possible also that the people inside might have been taken hostage," he stated."I have an idea! How about someone goes there invisible like we always do, but this time, we take them down without making any noise," Hazel proposed."That means we have to take them down without either them or us making a sound," he explained."How do we do that?" he pondered. He stared at the people gu
Psshhh. Pssshh. A sound that resembled a static radio noise was to be heard within Helix's mind. He kept bumping his head to remove the sound and the static radio noise was fixed. A voice of a woman came across his mind, "What's the matter? Why'd you scream?" They conversed with their subconscious minds, "Nothing, absolutely nothing. Don't mind me." "Are you sure? That sure sounded like the thoughts of cursing and screaming though." "Fine, there may have been a bit of trouble and interference." "I see. Can you tell me the details of their clothes, so I can track down what kind of group they are?" she asked. "They were invisible. I didn't hear a single voice. Must've been experienced, since they seemed to have gotten past the defenses," he inferred. "Then would you like my assistance?" "Yes, they might be leaving the school, so I need you to intercept them," he solicited. "Got it. Would you need Leonard to come there too?" "No, only you would do fine." "Really now? Alright, t
If all of you are wondering by the sudden series of updates, that is because I've been wanting to take a break for a while now. As you can see above, I'm going on hiatus again, for maybe around 2 weeks or so. It might take a while, I might even take much longer than 2 weeks, if that ever happens it's either I'm too tired or I'm having family problems. Yeah, if I don't update for a month or so, then it's best to assume I've been put in a place of no wi-fi, computers, or phones. I hope you guys understand. Thank you for the various support so far. Thank you, so much, I genuinely mean that. With that, I'm signing off! See ya later! Let's hope I don't get shipped to a place with no internet or computers! Check out the synopsis, there's a discord server now!

"Stay out of the way! Or you two would really get hurt," Helix warned. "How considerate. Better throw that away for our sake, " Phize stated. "We are adventurers, so if you don’t take us seriously, you’ll end up getting bedridden,” Trif replied. "Stubborn children," Helix answered. He shrugged, "Guess I’d have to make some sense to your shallow minds." He extended his arm and taunted them, "Come at me." Trif whispered to Phize, "We don’t know whatever ability he has. What do you think we should do about that?" "In a magic fight, it’s never good to rush in blindly with your sword. This is a fact I’ve learned over my years of adventuring. Since he doesn’t seem to be the aggressive type, we can begin with range attacks such as directional spells," Phize surmised. "Trif, for our initial move, we set off some elemental magic towards him." "Sounds good to me," Trif agreed. "Directional spells are ranged spells that follow the angle at which it was launched. These are also the types
"Charge!" Trif yelled. The two young men charged Helix. "Go!" Helix ordered. Tiles headed their way. "Hiyah! Hiyah!" Trif yelled. He destroyed two tiles with his sword. One more tile was headed his way. "Gotcha!" Phize shouted. He saved Trif from the incoming projectile. "Phize! Get behind me!" Trif commanded. He did what he was told. Trif cast a spell, "Forcefield!" The tiles broke upon coming into contact with the invisible barrier. "Oh?" Helix said. He turned tail and ran away. "Come back here!" Phize ordered him. Helix lowered his right hand and touched more tiles as he went around the hallways. The tiles ascended and shot toward them. Like earlier, the tiles broke into pieces as they came into contact. He saw a stray iron sword on the ground and threw it at them. Right when it was about to come in contact with the forcefield, it went around them and shot straight at Phize. Luckily, he was able to react in time and deflect the sword. Trif stopped chasing Helix.
The two girls inspected Braille’s movements closely.Braille still gave them a handicap of not using her right hand’s chains."What do we do?" Lili asked Hazel."Oh, I’m not letting you two have the opportunity to devise a plan," Braille stated. She used the chains on her left hand on Hazel.Hazel deflected the chains one by one with her sword. Lili approached the chains and grabbed them. Braille was clearly annoyed by this strategy which proved to be effective earlier."Will you cut that out?" she said. She used the chains on her right hand this time on Lili.Since Lili was distracted by the sight of incoming chains on her left side, the chains she held one by one slipped through her grasp and went for Hazel."Oh no!" she panicked. She turned her attention to Hazel.Hazel deflected the chains headed their way."I’m fine! Concentrate on your side!" Hazel assured.Lili nodded, but then a chain grabbed her left leg and then her right arm. She managed to fend off the rest but then the re
Helix was catching his breath on top of the school. "I," he panted, "got," pant, "away." "Not for long," Phize responded. "What?" Helix asked. He saw Phize propelling himself using wind spells. Helix chanted, "Change cour-" "Oh, no you don’t." Phize was at the right altitude and ended his spells before Helix could interfere with them. He landed on the platform Helix stood in. Both of them stared at each other. "Why is it that when I try to feel his magic spell reach within my magic radius, I don’t feel anything? No mana at all," Phize wondered. He thought for a few seconds and came to a conclusion, "I got it." "What was your name again? I don’t recall introducing ourselves," he asked him. "Helix. Why?" "I see. Then, Helix, you can stop saying ‘Change course’ every now and then whenever you try to use your ability." "Because it’s not magic," Phize concluded. Helix thought, "Crap, he found out? No, no, maybe I’m assuming thin-" "Divine Blessing, was it?" Phize queried. "
