Project Kied - the Dark Child of War Chapter 9
Hypernox descended heralded by a sea of enflamed halos which struck through Edzak's army of cosmic beasts, wiping them out rank after rank, sending them burning to ash. Edzak's fists tightened as he stared at Kied whose hypnotic gaze was still in him, grinning and daring him to bring more. And truth be told, his entire army of cosmic beasts had been wiped out, all he had left was his fleet. He nevertheless wasn't backing away so soon. "Attack !" Edzak ordered. The first wave of battleships charged at the Aegis, ready to take it down. Hypernox now an eagle landed on Kied's shoulder, staring fearlessly at the assaulting army. "Well done Hypernox", Kied said stroking his head, making him coo. "Equivax", Kied summoned, "hail and blades." Both cannons and bladed boomerangs arrayed themselves and cut their way through Edzak's army. The cannons opened fire upon them, wiping out rank after rank with each volley of halos, and it never stopped coming until the battleships

FIFTEEN MONTHS EARLIER ... His feet were numb and his being quivered in pain as he made his way across this mountainous terrain, he was worn out and his mind's focus was waning, but he just couldn't stop. The turbulence arose from behind him, and those exploding sounds made the earth quake. Trying to quicken his pace - a futile effort though - he managed to keep going, his heart pounding in his chest. That halo fell behind him a few yards away, ducking behind a boulder he allowed the explosion blow past, then rising onto his feet again, he continued the run. Another volley fell from behind, with solid structure to take cover with, the explosion swept him off his feet sending him crashing to ear. His dark armour now worn and torn, he stripped it off, now left with only a dark pair of clothes, having done this he resumed his run. Those interstellar chariots, five in all, emerged from behind, they chased after him. Knowing that he had been spotted, he forced himself onwards.

Henry sat in the second chair after the school bus' door, his head resting on the wound up window. He saw his "rival" approaching, better still, marching, and that nosy boy running after her from behind. She leapt into the bus, her gaze met his then turned to his seat, she growled, walking away she took her seat at the back of the bus. Then came the boy who scuffled into the bus, pausing he stared at Judith and back at Henry. "Now I get it !" He exclaimed, the furious look on Judith's face making him grin mischievously. Sitting down at that table, this family of four dug into their dinner. "There's a new family in the neighborhood," Mrs John said, her knife cutting through her beef. "When did they move in ?" Mr john asked.. "About a week ago," the woman replied. "Oh, you mean Mr and Mrs Kayode," James interrupted, a mischievous smile stealing his face as he stared at Judith. "You know them ?" James'father asked surprised. "Yes I do," James replied with an air of importance, "they even have a boy called Henry." "Mhm", sounded his mother, "what school does he attend ?" Vage Verzak stared at this imperial army from the bow of his interstellar battleship - the Talon. Their flags fluttering dauntlessly, prepared to unleash an assault upon his paradimensional cosmic arcade, how they had found it wasn't his concern, what mattered to Vage was making them regret ever battling with him. "Calk Xan never gets tired of fooling around with his meaningless schemes of taking me down," Vage said to Rode - his red panther lying besides him. Rode purred, his paw covering his yawning jaws. "I can see that you're getting bored with teaching a dumb feudal lord the same lessons over and over again. It could be annoying Rode, but it's worth being termed as a light workout." "Now let's see what card Calk Xan is going to dole out first", Vage said combing his beard with his fingers, "unlike him, I am a noble fighter and always play fair, giving my opponent the opportunity to choose his cards wisely." That howling arose as that storm cleared the battlefield of anything which stood in its way, engulfing the terrain in a sea of lightning and flames. "He thought his Storm wiped out my defensive wall of tentacles Rode", Vage said, "not knowing that I had to call for retreat using the explosion to mask the whole scheme." Rode gave an approving growl, his golden eyes glistening with anticipation to battle. Calk's fists tightened, he still couldn't understand how Vage had been able to take down his army of cosmic beasts with just one shot from that cannon, it unleashed the destructive energy it possessed, courtesy of the cosmic arcade. "Vage !" Calk growled. "Cosmic beasts !" Sending his entire army of cosmic beasts charging towards Vage's ship, Calk stood in fury and anticipation, anxious to see the Talon blow up into pieces. That flaring hologram of geometric configurations enacted themselves before him, creating multiple combinations, they switched the positions of different structures, a unique code and configuration was finally attained. It's intense flaring created a sea of flames within the cosmic skies, eight cosmic portals tore open with enflamed and titanic chains crashing upon Rode's being, they entangled themselves around him , inhibiting him from fighting. "That's what happens when you have the Eight Doors of People", Calk said to himself, "and this is just one among its numerous capabilities. I don't see how Vage's precious cosmic beast, Rode can break free from it." Vage's enflamed eyes closed, he could feel the pain which Rode was undergoing as the enflamed waves which the chains gave bore their burning sensations into his being, along with the entire army of Calk's cosmic beasts falling upon him from all corners, keeping Rode completely under check. Why had Vage not made any move ? Instead he stood there grinning stupidly at him. If Vage wanted to kill him, Calk thought, then he should better get it over with and fast, then he saw Vage lift his right arm into the air. "Rode", Vage communed telepathically, "that'll do, I think Calk has had enough." But Rode was persistent, he wanted to take his pound of flesh, and his paws kept crashing upon the shield.
