Ending Maker And Dark Purple

Clank!

Clank!

Clank!

Following Dame Eunice Valerian's words, silence fell around the table in the garden and, except for the sound of polished silverware hitting against fine china, no one spoke.

Trapp's face was expressionless...

Staring at his mother, who was sitting on the opposite side of him, Trapp did not say anything.

It was as if he had not been heard her speak in the first place and he seemed quite relaxed.. but from the way he refused to eat and was instead playing with the tableware; it was obvious that Trapp was not in a good mood.

Eudora and Della also remained silent.

Neither of them dared to draw attention to themselves.

Eudora simply ate with relish, completely ignoring what was happening at the table. She had fallen silent, which was unlike her previously bubbly personality.

Seeing her like this from the corner of his eye, Trapp's lips twitched in frustration and he felt a serious headache coming.

Eudora caught Trapp spying on her and she flashed him a very bright smile. It was as if she was saying to him... 'What are you looking at me for?'

Feeling helpless, Trapp turned his gaze towards Della, but he immediately felt bad.

Della was burying her head in her plate of food and she seemed greatly focused, as if there was a whole other world only she could see in her plate of snacks that drew all her attention.

It looked as if Della's mind was not currently with them at the table but had wandered some place far away. Unfortunately, Della could not fool Trapp with this. He knew that Della was only pretending that her mind was not here. This was obvious from how she was also playing with her food, just like Trapp was. Only, she was much quieter about it.

There was a ball of anger growing in Trapp's chest, and he really wanted to vent his frustrations immediately. All he needed was an outlet to vent his frustrations on, but unfortunately, there was none.

Sigh!

Seeing as Eudora and Della were hopeless and he could not hope to count on them, Trapp sighed heavily. Then he finally turned to his mother, saying to her.

"Another mission? It's only been a few weeks since I completed the last one and came returned. Are you that eager to chase your son away from you?"

"I've only been back for a short while, but you already can't stand the sight of me. That's too bad cause I don't think I've rested enough yet. There are some new girls in the city that I have yet to sample, but what does it matter. It's not like I can refuse you, can I?"

At this point, Dame Eunice nodded her head and said, "That's right, you can't. If you don't go, I will lock you up in the lowest cell in Tartarus where you won't ever see the light of day again. You won't get to see all those girls you're so eager to see when that happens."

Dame Eunice's voice was frosty and left no room for refusal.

"Tch!"

As if remembering a painful memory, Trapp clicked his tongue and said, "You're vicious, you know what. You keep threatening me with this, but I have to admit, it is really effective. I can still recall my last experience of Tartarus. that place is not fun at all."

Trapp shivered at the memory, and his face tightened.

Like what Trapp said, Tartarus was not a place where people went to have fun. It was a place of extreme torture made to house the cruelest villains in the whole Great Filament Upper Realm. Each cell in Tartarus was tailor made specifically so that its inhabitants would have the most painful time ever.

For Trapp, under the orders of his mother, the last time he had been locked up in Tartarus, he had been kept in a completely dark room where light did not exist and darkness was the only comfort.

Trapp had almost been driven mad by the extreme boredom. He swore never to go back there ever again. In order to make sure that never happened, Trapp had to obey every command his mother gave to him.

No matter what kind of mission Eunice gave to Trapp, he did not dare to refuse, even if it was extremely dangerous. As for trying to run away and escape, it was also not possible.

There was nowhere Trapp could run to in the Great Filament Upper Realm that his smother would not be able to find him. Even if Trapp wanted to run away to another realm, he wouldn't be able to go far before being found by his mother.

Don't believe it?

Well, you better because believe it or not, Trapp had already tried but had failed countless times.

There was no escaping his mother. Trapp's only option was to obey.

Forcing himself to stop thinking about that painful memory, Trapp gave his mother a level gaze and asked her lazily.

"Well then, since I can't refuse either way, let's just get this over with."

Clang!

Throwing his silverware down on the plate, Trapp crossed his arm across his chest and asked, "So then, let's hear it. What is the mission this time?"

"Who is the target?"

...

Trapp Valerian.

In public, Trapp went by many different identities, some of them good and others were quite notorious.

Some of the most well-known of Trapp's identities were; 'The adopted brother of Dame Eunice Valerian, a rising star of the Ndlovu empire of the great filament upper realm.'

'Most handsome young rake, playboy, rogue, waste, prodigal, and many more.'

All of these were those identities that were known to the public. But in secret, Trapp Valerian had another identity. One that was known to only a select few people.

Trapp was an assassin!

That's right, Trapp, who was known as a trashy waste of space and a weakling without the strength to even trouse a chicken and whose only merit was his handsome face and his ability to pick up women. This kind of person who most of the public had an unfavorable impression of... he was actually a frightening assassin... and a very notorious one at that.

From a very young age, ever since Trapp could even remember, he had been trained by his mother personally to kill.

That was the only thing Eunice Valerian thought Trapp to do.

It was true that Trapp was a complete waste when it came to anything else. But, if there was one thing Trapp knew how to do, that was killing.

In the underworld, Trapp went by the monicker [Ending Maker].

Cheesy, I know, but it is what it is.

This monicker was given based on the 100% kill rate Trapp had.

Trapp was currently twenty years old, and he was only thirteen when he went on his first mission. Ever since then, Trapp had never failed a single mission. His trademark was that whenever he assassinated a target, he would always leave a crystal card with a bleeding smiley face with x-shaped crosses for eyes. This was a sign that the Ending Maker was there.

Admittedly, there were a lot of assassins out there with similar records to Trapp. There were even some who were more mysterious than he was. In the vast universe where different kinds of people abound, a single lone assassin was not worth being mentioned at all.

The only reason why the Ending Maker was actually quite well renowned was that he worked for a similar well-renowned organization.

The name of this organization is [Dark purple].

...

Trapp was waiting for his mother to tell him the details of his new assignment and who his target was. He did not care that Eudora and Della were present. Besides, there was nothing to be worried about.

The two women already knew of his secret identity.

All of them present were members of Dark Purple. Eunice Valerian was Trapp's personal handler in the mysterious organization, while Eudora was her assistant. As for Della, apart from being Trapp's butler, she was also his assistant in Dark Purple.

Trapp did not have to wait for long this time before his mother started explaining to him the details of his mission.

Clearing a space at the center of the table, Eunice swiped her hand across the table, causing a holographic map of the Great Filament Upper Realm.

She started explaining, "Your mission this time will take place in the fringes of the Saint Veracles star zone. There is currently a war going on between the two rulers of the region, so security is very lax. It should be easy for you to get inside. But that doesn't mean you should be careless."

As Eunice explained, she zoomed in on a part of the map, bringing out the detailed map of the Saint Veracles star zone.

Although the Ndlovu empire was the supreme ruler of the Great Filament Upper Realm, like the valerian family, there were other noble families that each governed a part of the upper realm under the banner of the empire.

The Great Filament Upper Realm was very large and the scale of the territories was enough for a few noble families to control and prosper for lifetimes. Still, it did not stop noble families from getting into a conflict and fighting for resources.

Eunice continued speaking, "Your target this time is her."

At this point, Eudora brought up a holographic picture of a fair young girl who was very pretty.

In the picture, the girl had a pretty face with light silver hair that was tied in a ponytail. Her eyes were electrifying, and Trapp was immediately drawn to them.

He could feel as if a current of electricity was going through his veins,

Trapp was very interested in this girl, but seeing as she was his target to kill, he could not help but sigh.

"What a very pretty girl. It's a shame I have to kill her. Instead, I would have loved to have a taste of her."

Trapp really felt it was too pitiful, but there was nothing he could do. She was his target, and he had never shown mercy to any of his targets before.

All of a sudden, Trapp felt that the atmosphere was wrong.

Looking up at Eunice and Eudora, they were looking at him in a funny manner, as if he had said something wrong.

Just as Trapp was wondering what he could have said wrong, Eunice suddenly said, "Who said you were meant to kill her?"

"In this assignment, your mission is to protect this girl, not to kill her. Do you understand me?"

Trapp: "..."

"The hell!"
