The rhino underwent a terrifying transformation and a surge of power was constantly being pushed out.
The rhino's muscles tightened up, its size doubled as more and more energy was being fed into its huge body. Blue vein-like patterns from the large orb in its gut spread out all over its body and waves of energy kept spreading out from where it was standing. A large hump protruded outward from its back, its eyes darkened and the horn on its snout grew times three its original height. From afar Allison and Tenkin could clearly see the changes that had occurred and they could easily tell the battle was taking a different turn. The salamander immediately took the initiative to attack first, it opened its mouth shooting out a series of blue fireballs that seemed to be burning the air itself. Taking a quick jump the rhino evaded the attack, dashing forward and flinging out its fist. The salamander was clearly caught unaware, the full-packed punch was heading straight for its face, and in an attempt to block, it desperately pulled its hands towards its head forming an ‘x’The punch collided and this time there was no struggle, the two hands of the salamander were bent inwardly. There was a clear difference in power and it was one that seemed to leave the salamander beast stunned. It flung its tail like a whip, lashing the rhino right on its back but the rhino stood there unfazed with no scratch on its hardened skin.A mere look at the salamander and one could tell from its confused face what was going through its mind and it was the same for the other two, how could a little power-up suddenly boost a beast that was being toyed with to such a level of strength. The salamander was grabbed by the neck and was raised from the ground, it struggled desperately whipping the rhino with its tall relentlessly, all to no avail, its eyes whitened with no life left in it, the crown on its forehead crumbled into smithereens, soon disappearing from sight.Just as soon as Allison and Tenkin both thought the battle was over, a sudden pulse of energy was released sending out heat waves in all directions. The temperature in the surrounding area quickly rose as the energy from the salamander's diseased body migrated into the rhino. The orb in its gut shone with brilliance as it constantly kept absorbing the energy. Soon the energy subsided and the body of the salamander was no more, however, a deep blue crystal was left behind, one that Tenkin had his eyes on.[Duel complete][A new boss of the 50th plane has evolved]“I think we should leave here” Allison voiced out her opinion“Exactly what I was thinking but before that…..” she felt his arm wrap around her wrist and a sudden feeling of panic arose in her.[Quick-soundless steps activated]Allison was not informed of the latter’s thought and was left confused at his action, ‘aren’t we meant to be running away from the beast and not towards it?’ she questioned. The rhino noticed this action again for the third time, however, this time it was confident in its newfound strength and was certain that this enemy was no stronger than the last.It turned to face the two that were heading straight towards it, whereas Allison closed her eyes anxiously still trying to believe in the one who had saved her life. Tenkin went head first towards the rhino with confidence, and as soon as he neared just a meter away, it swung its fist that was still pulsing with energy. Tenkin pulled Allison towards himself and slid down below the arm that was still in motion; quickly he pulled back carried the deep blue crystal and went off.Looking at its hands the rhino took its time to process what had happened, it turned its back and could not find the crystal that had been left behind by the salamander. It was once again bypassed which angered it greatly, a huge thick condensed hot air escaped its snout. It entered a hot chase, trailing behind its back, even ignoring the obstacles in its path.“What the... why did you do that?” Allison couldn’t help but question. She found it hard to believe that one would actually risk that much for a mere beast crystal, they had their uses and importance in the game but why go to such an extent? With their current conditions in the game it was hard to tell what effects death would spell out for them and she couldn’t imagine losing her life just cause of a crystal.“You don’t expect me to leave such high-graded crystals out here did you?” he replied out rightly, quickening his pace as he noticed the rhino catching on. Holding onto the crystal he could feel the power pushing outward as though trying to consume him.‘What is this feeling’ In more ways than one he was becoming more and more fearful of this virtual world. It seemed as though he was playing a completely different game from what he’d experienced during the test program, and he didn’t quite like the feeling.Everything was feeling far more realistic than it did during the test program, even now the energy from the crystal seemed to be seeping into his body. With the crystal in his hands series of notifications popped up in front of him.[High-grade crystal has been obtained, Would the player like to:Sell in auction sales and earn huge benefits,Exchange with the system for high-grade weapons,Convert to Nano points]The options that appeared in front of him seemed quite tempting considering the quality and grade of the crystal he had obtained but aside from all this, there was something else he was more inclined to do with it.[Synchronizing…… Crystal compatible with Ability 77% possibility][Higher flame crystal will now be absorbed]Tenkin could quickly feel the immense amount of power searing through his body and at the same time it was as though he could hear a deep dark voice which he assumed to be that of the salamander. The dark voice carried an ominous aura that made cold sweat trickle down his face as it spelled out the words, ‘BURN!’As if in resonance with the voice series of information followed suit.[Your flames have evolved][Congratulations you have leveled up to Lv 2Lv 3Lv4Lv5]The sudden jump in levels startled him a bit but it wasn’t time to be as the Rhino had soon caught up with the two.The bright light pierced through his eyelids as he soon opened them to the embrace of the sun.Nolan was a bit confused as he awoke rubbing his eyes, ‘took you long enough!’ a loud voice resounded in his head almost making him jump in shock. ‘Seems that beast really hit you hard you can’t even remember you had an AI in your head’ Ra said reminding Nolan of the incident that happened before he was knocked out. Before he could process himself he was welcomed by a barrage of notifications.[Ra has fully been synced with the World system][Healing still in progress HP: 78][Player has completed quest: Survive the encounter with boss] Before he could continue reading on Ra cut-in, ‘survived pfft, he barely even put up a fight, the boss simply ignored his weak ass’[Here are your rewards][Lv2] Congratulations![All stats +100][500NP earned]He was shocked by the bountiful rewards however that was the least on his mind.“So much for finding Allison,” He said to himself heaving a deep sigh
Just as soon as he had taken another step forward three wolves jumped in, blocking his path. Nolan had already expected that but wasn’t too certain when they’d decide to come out albeit it relieved him of the stress of coming to them himself, he so much hated stalkers and that was the same here even though it was a game.[Appraisal skill activated] automatic….[Lv2 Basalt wolves][Description: categorized under beasts usually known as the volcanic mountain dwellers, these beasts live in the hottest parts of the mountain, and due to this the wolves have adapted hard rock skin, resistance to flame(depends), and sharp claws, paws and canines.][Strength: 240][Agility/speed: 243][Stamina: 245]His system immediately went to work giving detailed information on the beast before his sight. From this alone, he felt confident he could deal with the three wolves. He kept his eyes locked on the three wolves as they entered into their formation, going in circles around him.Their eyes were fier
Aside from the strange tower every other everything looked to be in place as they entered the town, it was like a clash of ancient and modern, most of the structures were built with an ancient type style however the tech used was high and that fact couldn’t be denied, he noticed androids in almost all sides of the city helping out in series of things. The dress code of the people told differently though as they still seemed to be dressing like those from the medieval era, but that was only the majority, a minority looked more modern. While walking down the street Allison decided to ask, “Do you really think it’s a good idea to start up a faction?” she was quite bordered by the fact that they couldn’t leave the game and she knew this would be the same for a majority of those in the game. The more people noticed that they weren’t able to leave the game, the more restless and chaotic the whole thing would become, making a faction in a situation like this would anyone be interested to joi
Looking at the large crowd it suddenly hit him like a ball, ‘how am I meant to find Allison, the characters were chosen at random and they would probably not have the same characters as they did in the test program. This was really annoying for him, and indeed frustrating as it just made the work harder for him but that would soon be the least of his problems as another soon entered the large podium from the two large doors that stood by the side and this new visitor would soon break the bombshell. His presence made the former rowdy hall to quieten as he carried a domineering aura with him, it didn’t carry any pressure but was strong enough to get the crowd’s attention. Following behind him were two others and they all had the same attire, like some kind of military personnel’s.A thick black leather coat going all the way even below the knee cap, a slim fitted crimson black breastplate and chest piece and a leather jean trousers everything was a perfect mix of black. They were adorne
Somewhere unknown to the rest of the world, a place devoid of light four dark blue eyes were opened and an ominous aura spread out far and wide. As the large figures stood the whole space around them shook violently.A hot breath escaped from their mouths as they opened them up to speak.“Sasseri, are you feeling their presence too” one asked in a deep voice that made the air vibrate“Of course I can, we all can, and these beings are actually full of surprises” The one named Sasseri replied with a calm and soothing voice one that sounded as though she were singing.“Indeed, if not do you think Ollon would have held them in such high regards that he entrusted them with the faith of our world” The other quickly added“You’re right, Klezia but my worry now is what are we going to do? They have trespassed into this world, Ollon told us that this would happen but never told us what to do when it happens, and now they are already here, are we just going to lie in wait?” Sasseri asked, but b
The two left the large gathering, Tenkin had other things in mind and wasn’t planning on wasting any more time in the place. As the two stepped out of the large fort of the red skull faction, they were once again welcomed by the naturally beautiful scenery of Modern city.“What’s your plan now?” Allison decided to break the awkward silence, as she soon started feeling left out by her somewhat strange partner.“Well, nothing much really but we need to go kill some beast and gather enough resources to establish our own fort too” Tenkin replied, his eyes darting all around him for any unwanted followers.“What are you doing?” Allison asked curiously, finding his reaction a bit strange.“Sorry, it’s kind of a bad habit, you never know when someone can just decide to come up from no where” He replied with a wryly smile. The two were still tied in the awkward scene when suddenly a loud recognizable voice resounded through the background.[The NPC’s (non-player characters) have been activate
Unlike he'd expected his opponents weren't planning any sort of hidden attack, out on the middle of the street two figures suddenly sufficed. One of them wore a tight blue outfit that showed evidence that it was a girl. She swept her long blue hair to the back, with her ruby colored eyes sternly fixed on her targets. She had two red guns on her hands, which had some tint of purple around their edges.By her side was a bulky man, who had quite the fierce look. He had a mohawk for a hair cut and on his shoulders were spiky armlets, he wore a military like uniform and giant spiky boots."Wow... that was. a nice dodge, I was expecting this to be a one hit something." The man took the lead, initiating a conversation."If I may ask, what's with the attack?" Tenkin asked calmly, yet his gentle and calm voice seemed much more terrifying than appealing. It was as a result of being a solo player for years, he was looking at them sternly, he knew for sure that any little mistake would spell deat
Just as quickly as they went on the break, Martha the reporter was shocked by the sudden influx of armed officers."Sir Claven under the request of the Senate you are under arrest for indiscriminately endangering human lives. You are expected to remain quiet as anything you say now can be used against you in the law court." The head officer said, signalling the other two behind him to cuff Claven."Do not touch me with those filthy cuffs you have in your hands" He said coldly with disdain in his eyes."How dare you come in here with those stupid accusations against me, do you know who I am?""Yes Claven, I know very well who you are" A voice suddenly interrupted.Williams had expected such reactions from Claven considering his background, so he wasn't in the slightest shocked. He had made a few, not-to-good encounters with Claven far before he'd entered into this game of politics. On first sight one would think he was a calm and collected person but he was actually someone who got eas
