The basalt wolves.....

Just as soon as he had taken another step forward three wolves jumped in, blocking his path. Nolan had already expected that but wasn’t too certain when they’d decide to come out albeit it relieved him of the stress of coming to them himself, he so much hated stalkers and that was the same here even though it was a game.

His system immediately went to work giving detailed information on the beast before his sight. From this alone, he felt confident he could deal with the three wolves. He kept his eyes locked on the three wolves as they entered into their formation, going in circles around him.

Their eyes were fierce and their hair color was fiery red and this coupled together gave them a fearsome look, their snouts were large and big and their claws and canines sharpened to the extreme.

The first went in for an attack diving right towards Nolan, it was times like this that he appreciated the strenuous training he had to go through to be Allison's guard since childhood, even in the supernatural virtual world he still had his skills which helped him out greatly.

In the first place, it was thanks to it, that he had been able to win third place in the test program despite not being much of a gamer. Allison kept pestering until he obliged and decided to join in. Coupled with the extra boost he was receiving from the game system only a handful could match up with his strength in the game.

‘You should be careful, their claws are really sharp and could bring down your….’ Ra was left midway into his sentence as he saw Nolan's amazing feat, holding the wolf midair under the arm he gave a devastating blow to the gut, making it howl out in pain.

With his keen eyes, he noticed the other two rushing towards him from the left and right. He swung the beast that was still in pain towards the wolf coming from the right. However turning around the other had already lipped up, with its maw wide open.

This left Nolan in thoughts, he couldn’t hold it by the mouth else it’d cause him a very critical damage and he wasn’t ready for that. Deep in his thoughts he soon noticed the two he’d dealt with before coming from behind and that’s when the idea hit him.

He rolled over letting the beast jump over him and just then;

[Second space]

A dim white light shone on the entirety of his hands as a shotgun which also looked like a barrel appeared in his hands.

[Double star barrel activated]

[Bullets left: 200]

A smirk went across Nolan's face as he soon looked at the three beasts that were lunging towards him.

“F*ck you!” he said angrily as the bullets sound went off.

*Bang bang bang*

The three lay dead on the ground with their bodies soon shattering into smithereens leaving three brightly shining red crystals.

‘Well seems your in lock’ said Ra as Nolan picked the three red crystals. A *ding* sound was heard as he made contact with it. A long list appeared showing him a series of things he could do with it, however, he ignored them in hopes of having something better to do with them later.

Attention all players! A loud sound reverberated through the air spreading out far and wide. Looking at the sky a large notification appeared.

The voice stated loudly and soon the notification disappeared as though it was never there.

Having seen the notification Nolan was a bit stunned as he had seen a username he recognized quite well.

‘Is Allison still in the game if so, why?’ he couldn’t help but ask himself, he was the closest to Allison perhaps even closer than her father as he spent the most time with her so he knew her personality quite well.

“Well if she did stay back to look for me, I’m in a hell of trouble,” He said to himself with a slight chuckle he also felt that she’d most likely be in Modern City which made it worthwhile as he felt more inclined to continue his journey to the modern city were his adventurous story would continue

Allison and Tenkin had both escaped the rhino unscathed and hoped to never cross paths with it again, which is why they quickly decided to go to the nearest checkpoint/city which happened to be the one known as the modern city which they had seen during the test program.

As they neared the city gates from there they could see the large castle up in the center of the large city, towering over every other structure in the city, the four towers of the castle were so tall that they tore through the clouds above.

The most oddly noticeable thing aside from that were the rings on top of each tower which gave out a radiance of brilliance. It was quite an admirable sight and another thing Tenkin found odd as he hadn’t seen it in the test program.

‘Things are beginning to look more and more out of place’ he thought, recalling his partial battle with the Rhino.

*Boom* a loud sound went off as his fiery fist collided with that of the Rhino, a clash of power ensued one so strong that Allison had been pushed back a bit.

Tenkin could feel the flames burning up in him as a constant fist-to-fist match continued and he was sure he was going to lose out firstly because of the intense pain he was feeling with each match-up and secondly because of the rapid rate at which his health points were decreasing.

Slowing the pace of the fist battle he dashed backward, keeping a deadly stance, he had one hand in front and the other slightly pulled back and that was the same for his legs. Thick blue flames enshrouded his body as he prepared for a deadly attack.

Looking at him the Rhino knew well not to rush in, he seemed to release a huge amount of energy and this was true as he was crying within him at the rate at which his Nano points were rapidly being used up.

‘If only the skill I added had been implemented immediately, now I have to wait till I’m at level ten’ he thought bitterly.

Noticing the rhino had let its guard down to know what his next attack would be he smiled and without warning he boosted with all the energy he had left and dashed away, quickly carrying Allison with him and running as fast as he could.

[Quick soundless steps activated]

With everything he had left, he soon left the Rhino in the dust. ‘We certainly escaped that one but back there, the pain felt so real’ he thought rubbing his reddened knuckles.
