003: Leaf Boars

The temporary entrance that the Association created had already opened while players piled up from the front, waiting for the Association's signal.

"Time to hunt!" I immediately dashed toward the end of the crowd and successfully entered the Makiling Forest which was characterized as the Windy Forest from New Life.

"Ohh.. Though it was entirely different from Windy Forest, the feeling of nature was still there." I mumbled as I entered the forest.

The players started to enter one by one while their gazes were similar to that of a predator who hunts everything that they see. I immediately went deeper into the forest and was relieved that the others were not in the vicinity. 

I first check my status bar to know more about my physical trait.

"Hm, my strength was four points means that it was quite low. Agility, ohh, seven points was good. Dexterity was too low to be called decent while Wisdom was nine which was quite high, meaning that I could still become a mage that I used to be. But endurance was quite lacking, if a player who has a strength of nine points suddenly lands a hit on me, I am sure that I will be unconscious almost immediately. My luck was also decent which is good since luck can be of great help." I mumbled as I was walking far deeply from the forest.

*Growl Sound*

"W-What was that?" I took the beginner's knife from my inventory and readied myself for any possibilities of danger and felt an ominous feeling from the western side of the forest.

[STAT: STRENGTH 03, AGILITY 01]

DESCRIPTION: A KNIFE THAT WAS AUTOMATICALLY PROVIDED TO THOSE NEWBIES OF NEW LIFE.

I went to the western part of the forest and saw a Green Leaf Boar which was categorized as lvl03 mobs from New Life. 

"So it was you!" I mumbled.

I started to dash toward the Green Leaf Boar and struck him on his sides. "Its defense was really high but its neck was his weak point!"

Just as I was about to attack, the leaf boar suddenly scratch the ground with his foot, indicating that it will now commence its first attack. This is why it's easier to hunt a boar because their attacking pattern is when they started to scratch the ground with their foot. 

The leaf boar started to approach me with its every footstep creating a trembling sound from the ground. 

"It's coming!" I dodge to the sides just as it was about to enter my range while the boar itself accidentally hit the tree behind me with its head. 

The leaf boar slightly lost its consciousness and I took the chance to attack once again. 

I jumped toward the boar, raised my knife to accumulate a certain amount of momentum, and finally struck its neck with all my might. 

*Splattering Sound*

"Hu-Ahh! that was the first hunt for you!" I checked my status bar once again to know how much exp it gave and was delighted to know that I already leveled up from one to two. Well, I am just a level one who fought a level three so it was certain that it will give a good amount of exp.

And so I started to hunt once again that I almost forgot that the time was already 3 PM. 

"Hah! did I just hunt all day round without having some breakfast or lunch? sighed! time to go home." 

I decided to go home after hunting for almost half a day and just as I was about to exit the forest, an agent of the Association suddenly stopped and told me to follow her.

[3:10 PM, Monday], [Location: Makiling Forest, Laguna]

"May I ask the reason for this situation?" 

"Can I check your identification card, sir player?" Asked, Agent Anna.

"Ohh, here."

"Um, Player Theodore, could you please show us what loot you've got after your first hunt?"

"Ohh.. Such a pain, do these guys still scouting players?" I mumbled.

I opened my inventory and gave them those New Life Coins that I acquired from killing those leaf boars and they were shocked as to what they'd seen.

"T-This amount of New Life coin, may I ask how many boars did sir Player Theodore hunted?"

"Oops, did I just make a mistake? I thought that they don't know the value of New Coin." I mumbled.

I told them that I hunted at least seven green leaf boars and just as I've guessed, they tried to recruit me as a part of the Association Guild but I humbly declined and told them that I was not ready for such things.

"Then, could we please buy those New Coins, sir Player Theodore?"

"Ohh? may I know how much would Association Player buy it?"

"1 New Coin for 10,000 Php, and since you have 21 New Coin, it would be at least 210,000 Php."

"O-Ohh? that much?" I was quite shocked by what I heard. "So one new coin was at least 10,000 Php huh?" I mumbled.
