A PAINFUL FAIL

' It's been two weeks of me sweeping and cleaning this temple but this old man hadn't returned the compass and map to me… haven't I worked enough? Haven't I trained enough?' Peter was thinking these thoughts as he swept the yard, just then the old man called his name from inside the temple.

When entered Peter entered the temple, he heard the monk's voice. Are you ready for the challenge?

The elderly monk stood at the center of the temple's training grounds, surrounded by the scent of incense. His eyes were closed as he meditated, his hands clasped together in front of him.

Peter approached him, taking slow and cautious steps. This was the moment he had been training for during the past two weeks. He was nervous, but he was also excited for the challenge that lay ahead.

"Master," he said, bowing respectfully. "I am ready to face your challenge."
