The initial shock rippled through the crowd, and the murmurs intensified, escalating into a low hum of speculation and intrigue. “Did you see that? He has bank statements!” one woman whispered, her voice barely audible. Another murmured, “I always thought Alfred was a bit… shady. This confirms it.” A third whispered, "He is finished". A fourth said, "what a betrayal".

The details, though carefully presented, were enough to plant a seed of doubt, a flicker of suspicion in the minds of many. Alfred’s carefully constructed facade was beginning to crumble. A few individuals who had previously been all smiles and backslaps now subtly distanced themselves, their faces carefully neutral.
