CHAPTER FORTY SEVEN

Dad hurried Uncle Jack. His face said the worried he had for Uncle Jack. Uncle Jack suddenly gasped and opened his eyes wide. He was gasping again and again, as if he can not breathe. But then his gasps returned to normal breathing. His eyes quickly searched the entire room and finally landed on me, and then on my dad.

He wasn’t surprised to see me, as if he had already known I was in the room. Either he had sensed my presence or he has some kind of supernatural powers that allows him to perceive such things. But his expressions gave me this weird feeling as if something was terribly wrong.

Dad asked Uncle Alex if he was alright; who in return motioned Dad to lean near him. When dad bent near him, he murmured something in his ears. Dad then stood straight and asked all of us to leave the room, since Uncle Jack had something to speak with Dad, alone. He specially emphasised on the word alone. So everyone understood that this was what Uncle Jack had whispered to Dad. So we obediently
