CHAPTER SEVENTY ONE

Both of us reacted quickly and turned our heads away. I stood up from the couch. Celia was about to say something, but I rushed towards my room quickly, leaving a dumbfounded Celia alone lying on the couch. She had a sad look on her face. She muttered, “Am I that scary?” But what she didn’t know was that she wasn’t scary at all. I stood in front of the mirror, holding my face in my hands. I turned the tap on and splashed the water on my face. Then, raising my head, I looked at my face in the mirror. I wiped the water dripping down my face with my hands.

After taking a bath and brushing my teeth, I changed my clothes and walked downstairs. There was no sign of Celia on the couch. With a sigh, I walked into the kitchen. Grabbing an apple from the refrigerator, I took a bite. That’s when I remembered the notification chime , because of which I woke up in the morning. I rushed to the living room and picked up the laptop placed on the table. It was probably mom who had kept this laptop on
