The Trap

Terranova: "I can't remember telling you I know everything and within the short time of our working together, you ought to have erased that assumption off your mind. Hold on a minute..." The system refrained from speaking for a minute and a half...  "Ethan, there is only one way in, aside this front gate, but you are not going to like it."

"Tell me about it already." Ethan spoke like one who had nothing to lose. He was already uncomfortable with standing out there and doing nothing in a busy street  because everyone seems to be looking for something or going somewhere based on the fact that the purge of the previous night left many emotionally distraughted and confused with terror.

Terranova: " ...there is a sewage outlet at the left flank and you will have to crawl on your way in..." Gasp* "No... no... no way!" Ethan grumbled.

Terranova continuous "...but the good thing is that his office window is just right there, merely looking up once you are in."

"Blah blah blah. It's not even a door, but a window. How am I expected to climb the wall?" Ethan asked growling as he made his way to the left side of the castle without hesitation and ensuring that he was not treading close to the castle at first until he had turned around in that direction that he may not be seen or noticed.

The system did not reply at the moment though. When Ethan got to the place where the sewage outlet was located, he was irritated and almost threw up but he felt he had to do what be must. Taking a deep breath and bracing himself, he ventured forward despite the putrid stench that permeated the entire vicinity.

"Gosh, this place stunk." He rumbled inaudibly as he got past the sewage front and came and stood close to the wall of the castle where was just one window placed right above him.

Terranova: "hey, you have to find a way to get in before he leaves the castle and you know what that means if you fail to complete the mission within 24hrs."

"No, I don't. Remind me." Ethan scoffed while squatting and stealthily walking to find a means of getting in through any door he could find while lurking in the walls because he knew it was going to be a waste of time waiting for and depending on the system in him to find a means of getting in.

Terranova: "... you are going to blow up and you know it. There are three security personnel standing right at the threshold of that door, Ethan. What are you thinking? You are not to engage in any fight, remember."

"I do. Thanks for reminding me. Can you be quiet for a while? Unless you have a way out of this." Ethan uttered harshly and with half a whisper. Obviously he was now becoming acquainted with the system and talking to it as though it were a real person has become normal.

He quickly moved back to find another way in since Terranova had forewarned him about the one he finally found. He left heading towards the extreme left which lead to the back of the castle and drew near to the right regretfully with belief that he was finally going to go in through the front entrance at a risk of confronting the security who were undoubtedly in their number when he first viewed the castle from across the street. However, a few steps away from the side of the window he first stood on getting in through the sewage outlet, there was a small door by him.

He entered without even asking questions, he never wanted the systems opinion knowing quite well that the next entrance was going to be the main front.

"Terra, I am in. See!" Ethan muttered feeling proud of himself for the first time, for taking a decision without a foreknowledge and yet being right about trusting his guts.

Terranova: "congratulations. Now how are you going to leave this restroom without being caught when the men in the building are all dressed officially with suits and their ladies on gowns ready to talk about someone who came in, dressed on hoodie, jean and sneakers the way you did? And we both know you have no invitation card with you."

Ethan felt pissed off the moment he partly opened the door and glared at the ongoing event.

"F*ck, Terra! You never told me there was going to be a party..." Ethan scolded as he shut the door against the noisy crowd to hear himself. Terranova was correct about the dress code and it was actually a well planned party going on. He then understood the reason why he saw cars entering the pyramid castle.

Terranova: "I never knew either. Please let's think of a way out instead."

At this point Ethan knew he was alone in this and he had to figure something out because if caught he is the only one in person and the system is never going to suffer any physical torture whatsoever. He quickly turned on the tap and wet his face, ensuring his hair was drenched in water before leaving the restroom. And the minute he walked out, he started muttering words slightly audibly,

"Excuse me, make way, I need a room to dress up..." Whilst he kept talking, those who heard him though the background music was loud, kept replying, "sorry man... Take the stairs, there's a room up ahead... Make way for him, there you go sir..."

He was quickly confident knowing they were not even going to suspect him as Terranova had predicted. Somehow, he was beginning to have the feeling of being superior to the system in a way contrary to how he felt when the system first arrived. He shut the door immediately and gasped, then turned around and was lucky to find a wardrobe having suits and different kinds of shoes in it. Mr. Stankovic is known to be a wealthy drug dealer but he failed the awakening process. As Ethan wore one of the black suits, he began to reflect on the things Isabell Wells told him about going into D.C United, and it started making sense to him to be true as he considered the fact that Mr. Stankovic never craved to be in D.C United though he has the money — he must have been informed about the activities taking place in D.C united.

"I'm definitely going to make him talk before taking him out." He muttered to himself before leaving the room. When he showed up, walking down the stairs, he looked more like a gentleman, and the suit made him blend in so well no one questioned him for any reason.

Clears throat* "Terra, could you please scan the entire building, I need to know where he is, help me out here." Ethan muttering, smiled at one lady who fixed her eyes on him for a couple of minutes though she was talking to someone while having a drink.

Terranova: "I was wondering when you were going to ask..."
