Cade tried his best to stay focused for the rest of the event. He was surprised at how disorganized he had become. It was unlike him to lose his shit, especially when it had to do with a woman. Gale's attempt at trying to reunite Cade and the president's daughter failed. He had written several times to the president to request a meeting with his daughter. His requests were not met, neither were his emails read. The truth of the matter was that Gale had been writing to an obsolete email without even knowing it. If only he knew about this error and channeled his requests to the right e-mail, then Cade and Raegan may have had an opportunity to meet and become friends by now at least. Raegan led the way and they went to the garden. The walk to the garden was plagued with an awkward air so that Raegan began to hum a song and Cade followed suit, humming a different song and they both produced a disastrous melody together. Cassandra had told her son of how Cade came to question her. She did not know what Cade was up to with his questions, but she knew it would be no good for her son. Alex was utterly angered by the information from his mother. What was Cade's fucking business in this matter? He knew too, that Cade was up to something. He is always up to something, isn't he? Cade had not seen Raegan since the incident with Alex. He did not want to bother her with his problems, so he did not reach out to her. The evening ended on a good note for Cade. Raegan called him as she had said she would. They talked till late into the night and by the time the call was over, both participants smiled themselves to sleep. They agreed on a time for when they would have the movie date suggested by Cade. But Cade kept the location a secret. He wanted to surprise Raegan. They would have the date during the weekend. Cade could not wait. Raegan herself looked forward to it. During the week, Cade got himself busy with work and curating his evidence against Alex meticulously. No iota of information was to be missing from his documentation. He wanted to make sure he had every evidence possible to bring Alex to book. But he would also begin gathering evidence for when Alex and his mother tried to kill him years ago.
