Cade did not want to take matters into his hands, so he called the police. In a matter of minutes, the sounds of sirens coming from the police cars filled the air. Soon they were with Cade. An officer came to talk with Cade while a few others inspected the area. Barnes had still not woken up. Cade stood outside his car with the police officers, one of whom was now interrogating him. Cade got a call from the police about the successful operation of finding the Bellwethers. "Mr Milton," the voice began, "we have found the suspects you declared wanted.""Thank you," Cade said and put off the call. He left what he was doing at the moment and went to get ready to be at the police station. Before leaving, Cade called on Gale to oversee the activities going on in the company. Cade got to the police station at the late hours of the morning. He asked to see the Bellwethers and he was given an audience with them individually. He first met with Hailey. "I had to admit, your plan was a good plan." Cade began. He was sitting on a table, his chair opposite hers, in a dark room with just the both of them alone. As the call went off. Cassandra looked at her son, waiting for a word. Alex gave her the news. "It's been done." He said to his mother. She nodded in satisfaction. She waited till she had swallowed every bite of food in her mouth before answering Cade's question. "A trailer collided with my car." She answered simply. "A trailer? That's crazy." "Yeah." "I'm sure the trailer driver and whoever was with him did not sustain any injuries as you did," Cade said, though it was partly a question. It may seem cruel to others that he wished the driver was as hurt as his mother but he couldn’t help thinking that way. On the day of the court hearing, Cade was present at the court with his lawyer. Raegan had asked to tag along, but he did not want her here. He wanted to handle his business alone but she wanted to be there as emotional support and to watch the people that came after him finally get punished. The Bellwethers were present at the court, too. They had with them a lawyer provided to them, who would defend them. The people in the court were all seated and waiting for the judge. When the judge came in, the magistrate announced his presence by ordering the court to stand. It was after the judge took his seat that the court followed suit."Mr Milton." the magistrate called on Cade and his lawyer stood up. Then he called on the Bellwethers and their own lawyer stood up. "Prosecution, you may begin" the judge called again and Cade's lawyer moved to the front of the courtroom to begin his argument. He began his speech by giving a brief narration of the case from Cade's own point of view. Then

The day for the next court hearing was quick to come by. It was just two weeks away from the last court hearing. The Bellwethers were present as they were the last hearing. Cade hoped that the verdict would be passed today so he would not have to waste any more time on the case. It already took too long and he had other businesses to attend to. Yes, he wanted his revenge, but this was taking quite some time. Time that he would have spent on other more productive things. As far as he was concerned, the Bellwethers were not worth wasting time over. He walked into the court room, a few minutes late to the hearing because he had an emergency at work to attend to. He made his way to a seat at the front, just beside his lawyer. A few minutes after he had sat down, the judge came in and the proceedings began. Cross examination was over and a new process in the proceeding was to begin today, after which Cade hoped that the verdict would be passed. His lawyer went in front of the court room a

"Your honor," the lawyer saluted as he began. "We have heard the prosecutor speak and now I will take up some points of his that I find disagreeable." The lawyer paused for a moment as if to gain his stance before continuing. "The defendant claimed that his client locked up the Bellwethers illegally to prevent them from fleeing the country again, as well as making way for Mr Barnes to appear before the board members of his company. Now, while all that is reasonable, am I sure the defendant knows that that was a case of limitation of one's right to movement by another? What if one of them had died while in unlawful captivity? While the client of the defendant was trying to protect his own interest as a result of the bitter vengeance that burnt in his heart, he forgot that the Bellwethers are first humans before they are to him, callous people. She had not complained about their lack of physical closeness even though they spoke on the phone and video called each other everyday. She was being understanding and giving him space because she also understood what it meant to have a busy schedule. He was so grateful to have a woman like her.
