The search continued as the days passed by, Cade extended the search into other cities. Every lead they chased led to disappointment because they were only fragments of their speculations. It took them several weeks to be able to get safe passage to cross the border illegally. Each of them were put into separate boxes, even Noah, though Noah was sedated so he wouldn’t scream for help. Carlson was still in shock when he returned to his dorm room. He had no idea what to do and for a moment, he began to regret why he told Leighton to stay behind. Hours and hours later, after the procedure was complete, Cade opened his eyes again. The Doctor allowed only Raegan to go in to see him.
