STILL LURKING

Cage breathed a sigh of relief after the news came to him that everyone was alright and nobody had been hurt. He turned to Chloe who still had traces of tears in her eyes.

He didn't try to console her because he knew how terrible she must have felt, having seen what just happened. It would be too much for anyone to bear, especially someone who was witnessing that kind of violence for the first time. He led her to a corner.

"We need to get out of here, Chloe. Didn't think the bad feeling you had would be this. It's not safe for us to stay any longer, especially now that we know that there is someone who has been following our movements for a time now, someone who has been waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike."

He shook his head, knowing that they were very lucky because if the man had shot them before his bodyguards arrived, they would have been long gone before any sort of intervention came to them. She nodded, while looking at their sides. The bodyguards were still around
