CHAPTER 110

Oliver finally was discharged from the hospital after spending two long weeks there with the memories of the incident haunting him every day. The day of his discharge was a bright and sunny day that contrasted sharply with the mood of the hospital. He was a little apprehensive and at the same time ecstatic about getting back to his normal life.

The hospital staff congratulated him with well wishes when he was wheeled out of the hospital building. His family was waiting for him with big smiles and balloons, eager to take him home. Oliver felt overwhelmed with emotions so he tried to hide them by putting on a blank face.

"Hey man, I'm so glad to see you're okay." Oliver's best friend, Adam hugged him.

Oliver smiled at him, "Thank you, buddy. I'm glad to be out of there."

As Oliver walked out, he took a deep breath of fresh air and thought to himself, ‘Finally out of that place. Now, it's time to get back to work.’ He missed his office so much and couldn't wait to get back in the game.
